canadiantire sells sks

Yup, Stratford has firearms.... No surplus, but they have a Tavor. That surprised me....

CT had a Tavor on the shelf?! Wow my CT barly stocks ammo...thats awsome the Tavor is mainstream enough for CT to stock them.

Theres even a CT in my area that doesnt stock any ammo. I went in there and couldnt find it so i asked a girl on the floor
"Hey do you know where the ammo is?"
Her: "for a pellet gun?"
Me: "no 12g shotgun"
She replied with wide eyes "You mean, like, for a real gun?"
Me "yes..."
Her "no, definitally not!"

Are they Tula Izzy refurb non issued ,.,,your descriptions need a bit more
and for a 200.00 gun 240.00 isnt free shipping to me
Just sayin

The westrifle SKS's are the nicest around. They are handpicked by the owners overseas and imported to Canada. They supply many other dealers the inventory that they sell. But, keep the best for themselves! If you buy from them you will not be unimpressed.

Maybe so but would still be nice to know what your buying

Recording ammo purchases is the law...in ONTARIO only.

It's a provincial reg...the link included above is for that provincial reg.

In all other areas, remind the retailer that the recording of personal data is not only no longer required under federal law; it actually violates a number of federal acts (Privacy; PIPEDA; etc) --- and then take your business elsewhere.

We MUST dictate to the retailers how things will be, and not the other way around.

Good point, a WSS employee in Grande Prairie, AB told me they get in big trouble if they record any personal info now. They just check your pal and write "valid" on the carbon copy slip in their book. The only crappy part was I was told I could only go back and look at what powders they had in stock if I was a CFO or an officer with a warrant. Instead we have to play the guessing game until I get a winner. I usually lose.

I dunno, they keep it locked up in the back and you have to ask. They go look and right now all they got is oddball stuff. One other shop has an old convenience store style fridge, not running of course while the other has it all under the glass counter. Grab what you want and go but WSS keeps it in a top secret vault protected by ninjas who look like deer but they're actually squirrels underneath but they're really ninjas and they'll f**kin attack if you try to pet them. All their ammo and bullets is in the same WSS gun/ammo wall setup behind the counter but powder requires delta level clearance for some reason.

Sorry, should have mentioned Chuck Norris is allowed in the back. I'm not. I don't shop their much anymore, I'll pay a little more to shop with ppl who actually care about serving the customer. Only one local shop provides that consistently.

All the Chinese Tire stores in Hamilton don't sell guns, only a weak, overpriced selection of common ammunition. I'm surprised Kingston has guns at Chinese Tire, Kingston is a big liberal hipster hotspot, surprised Justin Trudeau hasn't shown up with McWynne and Adam Vaughn to "occupy" or whatever it is they do.

I've mentioned this in another thread (or maybe this one?), so forgive me for repeating....

Stratford Ontario CT has a very good selection of rifles (non-restricted), including the TAVOR. I drove up there several weeks ago (from Haldimand County) to purchase a TAVOR.

pages ago a few people were talking about CT's staff and policies, I've got one for ya
Before I even sent my paper work I was told I'd get an Enfield once my pal came. Knowing this I wandered over to CT and this kid with his small red vest excuses himself runs off only to come back a moment later. He told me he need to see ID before he opened the case. I laughed noticing he had backup, two not at all scary looking red vested kids popping a pose at the end of the isle. I told him he doesn't need ID for cleaning patches, trigger locks and oil but he insisted so I gave him my BC Id. He than passed if off to his manager and came back telling me that the rcmp looks at their surveillance footage. I said "so what", he looked stunned. When he finally gives back my Id and opened the case his manager called him away because he needed his keys... I am left alone with a wide open case. Somethings you just shake your head at; like when I found out I paid at least twice as much as I should have for simple trigger locks only after I had gotten three of them.
