Does Nobody Want Keltec RFB's Anymore??????

If the vette is as fast as my Triumph Rocket 3... 0 to 100 mph 7.8 sec ( 0 to 60... 2.7 sec ), i am in for a very big fun factor... JP.

Lets drag, I've got a Turbo VROD...:)
I never realized that my Vette comment would push this thread around....

For comparable, i would start on the quarter... Mid 10 with my son driving at 127 MPH, myself at 250 pounds just scrap the mid 10, only mod i made is K&N air intake direct filter, how is your time on the quarter with the turbo on your V... JP.

Actually i have no idea of what a 1/4 would bring, to be honest i never did it. But I'm going to do it at some point. I have a Garret turbo with a Zipper control ecu...all I can say for power is that I had to install drag bars as the regular, more upright bars were allowing me to be pulled off the bike.
To prevent getting locked.....I think the RFB is a great rifle...:)

I have one RFB in my future, but i think i will get first a FNH TSR XP 223 from Prophet on Monday... Before my purchase those 2 bikes were finalists for me, i choose the Triumph, i could have choose the VROD as well, 2 great machines... JP.

I am often riding between Montreal and L'Orignal, a little village near Hawksburry, i have a nice shooting place at our farm house... JP.

You are really full of**** ...so you open a tread not seaking any info, no you felt like open a tread to bash a firearm you shot once at a range that was not yours and probably not properly set and or bad mags.
I didn't open this [thread], I've just offered up my unbiased opinion (however harsh it seems) to prospective buyers of the RFB. I've been pretty transparent with my limited use of the rifles (ie. take it for what it's worth), and have also pointed out there are other reports of issues with these things. Seek them out to round out your information base - or not, whatever floats your boat.

Done with WAL-MART winchester silver tip 168 gr. And a 3x scope by a poor shot, yep a real 400 $ 4 moa gun....GENIUS! !!!
I didn't realize Winchester did a special run of ammunition for Walmart. I bet your going to tell me you shot this 5 round group inside 3" at 500m, off-hand right?
Look, If you want to believe your rifle's mechanical accuracy is sub-whatever, go right ahead and believe that.
If it makes you sleep at night, all the better.

I am pretty sure with a nice tailored load, 1 to 1.5 MOA is very realistic, handloading always save the day .... Except if you have a mini...LOL. JP.

This is like talking about guns with an anti. Can we all just give up? All I see is one side throwing facts gathered through experience and the other side saying I don't like them so no one should have one or I knew a guy that knew a guy that said they were unreliable and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Reminds me of Ruger Mini-14 threads... somehow they also can't hit the broadside of a barn... but somehow they sell out everytime.

Your opinion is biased though. You havent shot a properly tuned rfb as is evident by the ftf and fte you experianced. So you cant say unbiased at all you have "shot" a improperly tuned rfb once.

I am done at one point you cant do more then realise an intelligent discussion is not possible with some people.

People that can't shoot 1" -1 1/2" groups with RFB, don't know how to hold it properly, left hand on the mag will give you world of difference..

I'm not formulating my opinion on just my experience though - I'm looking at similar to varying experience from others. Some of those are anonymous and some of those are from people and places I trust.
If you want to completely disregard my or other's experience with the RFB that do not align with your view then so be it.

I did a lot of research before purchasing my rfb it was between the rfb and a xcr m. I went with the rfb as I couldent find many reviews of the m the delivery time on xcr's is bat#### and the reviews I saw on the rfb were good. Some bad of the gen 1 but for the newer ones with the well welded gas system it was all positive reviews.

I think your opinion doesn't even amount to a pile of cow crap. Just calling it how I see it. :)

I own both a Robinson Arms XCR-M and my most recent purchase a Kel Tec RFB. I have close to 200 rounds through the pipe of my XCR-M and 40 rounds through the pipe of my RFB. Although I don't have many rounds out of my RFB due to having to go out of town for work, managed to sneak out day before I left and pop off a few.

My impressions are the RFB has superior craftsmanship when it comes to fit and finish of the components. The XCR has numerous areas with very noticeable machining marks and blemishes that makes it a turn off. My XCR-M is also very front heavy and a pain to shoulder, feels like 20 pounds hanging off the end of the barrel. My RFB shoulders like a 4 pound gun. It's extremely comfortable and very stable. The ergonomics of he RFB are fantastic, truly a much better closed quarters rifle than my AR15. Yes that's right I just said its better than an AR15 as far as handling goes.

Accuracy, its a semi auto battle rifle so i dont expect it to compete with a heavy barrel bolt action. It's accuracy is no different than my XCR-M, shooting about 1.5" groups at best with my skills. Good enough for what I need it to do. I plan on using this rifle for hunting as its comfortable, handles well, won't snag on every tree branch. It will punch holes in hearts and lungs so it works for me.

To those that are hating on this rifle yet never owned one are just hating because they don't have one or can't afford one. Realistically not many firearm owners have the dough to go spend 2400$+ on a rifle then outfit it with optics etc. so put it back in your pants and chill out. This isn't high school anymore.

Any what post isn't perfect without a few pics.

My RFB next to my XCR-M. Sorry no pics of my RFB with the Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 optics yet.

My RFB next to my AR15, significant size difference.

Yeah I got a Daniel defence m4v5 16" barrel and I prefer the ergonomic of my rfb for shooting, not the mag release tho, its way better on the ar.
