sooo went to the local gun shop (island out fitters) the other day, and asked to buy some cci blazer 22 lr ammo, and the clerk laughed at me -_- and then slowly said no... haven't seen them for a while now (same as winchester dynapoint and wildcats). thanks ? and then i asked about 223 ammo and they have a crap ton, anyone else noticing 22 ammo are pretty rare now ? ( aside from the american eagle stuff which seems to be everywhere )

Yah bricks of blazer go quick. Great stuff. I usually never buy bulk because I can't afford too but I jumped on 20 dollars a box for 525 and I bought ten boxes. Keep an eye on Canadian tire but they are charging like 29 bucks but they will price match plus give you 10% in Canadian tire money as well ontop

Heh I've been cleaning out local walmarts and can tires of Blazer and Federal bulk 22's.

I can build small castles with all the boxes now.

when i look at the rounds side by side, the AE and federal does look alot better made then the winchesters but my GSG 1911 will not feed anything except cci and winchester -_- i checked canadian tires and they had 8 boxes... of 50 rounds lol

if you get a chance to see it, get a box of Winchester M-22, it's great stuff that feeds in my AA glock kit.

Is it only your Can Tire that will price match or all stores?

.22LR? Really?

I wandered through the Winnipeg Cabela's earlier today and there was something like 50,000 rounds of .22LR in immediate sight, just standing at the gun counter (and untold thousands on shelves and piles elsewhere). Multiple brands, little packs, bricks, multi-brick combos, 2100 round ammo cans ($95), you name it.

we dont get nearly the stock they get in the east it seems, never even seen a ammo can full of .22 for sale out here; we get completly gypped out west imo.

"Out West?"

Hardly. Here in Edmonton, the local Cabela's has some 5 million rounds sitting out in plain sight.

Federal ammo cans with 2100 rounds in it, Federal 525s, CCI Mini mags in bulk, wildcats, 333/555s, bushmans, M22s, etc etc.

That's just the bulk stuff. There's pallets of it.

Then, in non-bulk we have CCI Mini mag trays, CCI Standard velocity, CCI Green Tag, CCI Sub sonic, CCI segmented hollow point, CCI Quiet, CCI Quiet Segmented, Federal 40gr, Federal 38gr, federal 36gr, federal 31gr, AE 40gr solid, AE38gr JHP, CCI Stingers, Federal Target, Federal Match, and a bunch of others.

You would have to literally be worth 1 million dollars to even try to purchase half their stock of 22lr...

All of the local shops here such as Cdn Tire and Walmart and whatever have tons of stock, too.

Cowtown, in comparison, is absolutely dismal -- in fact, downright embarrassing. We dream about a local supplier with that kind of volume and variety.

So the great CGN "sky is falling" .22 shortage had me out and about looking around town. Both my local CT and Walmart had bricks of Winchester and Blazer. Same with the gun shop. No shortage around here.

Yeah I bought one of those ammo cans in saskatoon at cabelas earlier this year. I also picked up a pack of 500 wildcats{which i hate}. However BC being west of west things might be different. I know how this guy feels I couldn't find shotgun shells with small lead shot a few months back made a post and got told by a few I wasn't looking hard enough.
