Sorry I wish this could happen but unfortunately it requires maturity and a brain. For which too many young shooters up there lack. Try give people a really bad name. 90% of the casings left behind are from 12ga shotguns and SKS/CZ858. Cheap crap to shoot.
But that's not saying I won't be willing to go up there and pick up garbage to keep our back country beautiful.
thats a little closed minded to say isnt it? Like profiling anyone who has a shotgun and an sks is ignorant. which is not the case. Sure there are some people that are leaving a mess but generalizing it to a anything is not right. IMO...

I believe when people see a bunch of garbage laying around it makes others complacent about picking up there own garbage. Last weekend at another shooting spot I was shooting alongside a 40 something father with his son. I was picking up my shells and the father commented on how I was doing good. I replied how disgusting it gets with discarded shells. Next thing I knew they were driving away leaving the 100 shells they had shot on the ground. I was dumbfounded at this.
Also one go my regular shooting friends always tells me how funny he finds me picking up all of our shells. And this is a guy who wouldn't leave any garbage behind camping or hiking or whatever.
If you see crap everywhere you're more likely to do the same. So set a good example and slowly and hopefully the majority of people will follow.
Pardon my ignorance..but what is a washout ?..did they cut a big ditch across the road ? pictures ?they cut a brand new washout now, less than 1/2 a kilometer from where the road turns to gravel. No cars anymore. The crap we cleaned up was amazing: drywall compound, full paint cans, toilets, motorcycle helmets, batteries, tv's, computers, etc..., all shot to pieces. Just amazing how bad that makes us all look.
thanks for the infoThey had cut a culvert across the road, it has since been filled. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank tommy for leading the cleanup. Wish i was there, and better late than never!
Regards,
Akash
