You get three guns...

I am surpised nobody from Ontario has chosen:

Remington 742 in .308 for deer drives
Remington 760 in .308 for deer drives in slightly more open country
Remington 742 in .308 in case the first one jams.

:)

simmer!

You clearly have to check your records - the open country drives call for a 760 in .270!

well played :)

I just don't see how you can go without a .22lr and a 12ga in a battery... So that really limits things right off the bat. With that under consideration I'd go with:

Savage mkII FVT with the Lyman peep sights it comes with, and a quick detach 3-9 scope if possible
SKB o/u 12 ga
375h&h win model 70 with something like a good 1.5-6 scope, also on quick detach mounts.

The things I'd really miss with this setup would be anything that could be used for centre fire rifle competition, like service rifle or f/TR, and anything lighter to carry or flatter to shoot or lighter in recoil for hunting but... Them's the rules

I just can't understand what you would do with 3 medium-bore centerfire rifles that you can't do with 1, especially to justify omitting a 22 and/or a 12 gauge for 99% of practical use. To each their own I guess...

Ardent, I've been pondering this since you posted it and still don't have a combo that I could live with in only 3 guns!!!!
I'll keep pondering and get back to you later................

Pretty easy for me to discard the rimfire rifles. Get a .223 and you can load it to emulate anything from 22 short right up to full power .223 loads. Very versatile cartridge when handloaded.

I don't hunt waterfowl at all, so don't need a shotgun, either.

I am torn with choice number 2. I may trade the 22 for a 223 at a later date.

M2 50 cal
40mm grenade launcher.
and a Ruger 10-22

if we have to go by the rules of normal comercial guns
savage 110BA in 338
rem 870 with 6pos stock and a weapon lite (surefire scout)
and a M&P 9mm or G19 whatever I could find the fastest those 2 are tied dead even for me.

Of what I own?

Savage 111 in .270, but I'd probably rebarrel it to .30-06 or .35 Whelan.
Ruger 10/22 stainless with a bull bbl and some VQ parts
Mossberg 930 w/ 18.5" and 28" barrels

Weatherby Mark V Deluxe - 300 Weatherby Magnum
Remington Model 870 Wingmaster - 12 gauge
BRNO 527 - 223 Remington

it would be tricky.
I would need a lh bolt in 30-06 or 7mm. probably 30-06.
definatly a 10/22 because I need it.
and I guess a 12g pump probably an 870 or maybe a benelli.

I think I would be just fine with these 3 for anything in NA and I can't see myself ever hunting overseas. That was suprisingly easy. Like ardent I'm a hunter first and gun-nut second. The only thing I would really miss is a varmint rifle.
