I've heard that. I just picked up 300 rnds of it to try.cci standard velocity seems to be popular in the savage bolts.
evey rifle is different, what shoots well in one may not shoot good at all in another identicle rifle. This is what I do, I buy a box of very kind of ammo I can get my hands on then test them out. Once I find the ammo that it like the best I buy that in bulk.

Surprisingly i am getting good result with the cci blazer.
I found my BRJ shoots CCI Green tag most consistently on paper.Only downside is $17 per 100.For gophers i use the CCI segmented 1640fps.
My savage Mk-II seems to like the winchester stuff best, but I recently bought some CCI ammo to try this spring. I hear good things about it, so it should do well.....
I did have some remington ammo that was accurite, but some faliure to fire rounds in a bulk box once before! I like there CB longs though....
