Hey Guys,

I'm looking for suggestions for ammo to try in my Mk II. What have you guys found to be the most accurate so far?

Thanks,
Trevor

evey rifle is different, what shoots well in one may not shoot good at all in another identicle rifle. This is what I do, I buy a box of very kind of ammo I can get my hands on then test them out. Once I find the ammo that it like the best I buy that in bulk.

My buddies Mk II BRJ really likes Stingers. The Win Bulk 555 stuff that shoots great in my 10/22 gets thrown all over hell and creation by his Mk II. YMMV.

CCI SV's and Wolf MT's have been the best for accuracy from our MKII's... Mini-Mag solids if you just gotta have HV ammo.

Good suggestion, and what shoots best, just might be the cheapest bulk ammo.

Dynapoints are great for plinking. They'll post decent groups for the price but throw occasional flyers. Not competiton fodder, but niether is the price. Can't believe they've gone up in price so much though. 50% in five years.

My Mark II BTVS shoots one hole groups at 50 meters with the expensive stuff from RWS.

I am glad that it does the same with Blazer 22, yes the cheap stuff.

It doesn't like any Federal ammo to the point, that I thought my scope was broken (5-8 inch groups).

I found my BRJ shoots CCI Green tag most consistently on paper.Only downside is $17 per 100.For gophers i use the CCI segmented 1640fps.

I tested Green Tag's vs SV's head-to-head in four guns and found that of the lots I tested there was ZERO difference in accuracy... SV's from then on.

My savage Mk-II seems to like the winchester stuff best, but I recently bought some CCI ammo to try this spring. I hear good things about it, so it should do well.....

I did have some remington ammo that was accurite, but some faliure to fire rounds in a bulk box once before! I like there CB longs though....

Try all different kinds & brands to find what works in your gun, it's part of the fun shooting a .22:)

sweet bajeezus
i am severely lacking in ammo apparently to some of you guys

i found cci stingers worked quite well, about on par with the blazers. the blazers are not copper plated, the stingers are and are higher fps.

the cci standard velocity seems to be quite accurate in the MKII BV I have as well.

havent tried winchester or federal yet.
