Hey guys im looking at buying a .22 Handgun, whats a good gun, price isnt a big factor juss need something thats a solid gun, and no polymer frames.

:DBegium Made Browning ( Noad-Challenger- Medalist)- machined out of steel made to last 5 lifetimes--if you can find one;)
they are the best kept secret in handgun world

There was a Kadet on the EE recently, not sure if it's still there. They are expensive but reliable, look good and have a solid 9mm feel to them.

From all post/thread , top of the list are :

- Ruger Mark II / III
- Browning Buckmark

I have the Ruger Mark III Hunter , accurate, solid, Eat everything, m'y daughter (12) love it, fun to shoot.
Also have a Colt 1911 Gov model .22, love it.

This is 40 rounds at 25 yards (with a Burris Fastfire 3). Hard to beat a Mark III for accuracy or reliability!!!

I currently own and endorse the following quality .22 handguns:

-CZ Kadet
-S&W K-22 Masterpiece (predecessor to the Model 17)
-S&W Model 41

The standard Browning/Ruger recommendations are also pretty sound choices. Wanstall's has the Marvel-designed Nighthawk 1911 conversion kit if you have a frame to mount it on.

Have a Ruger MkIII Target on the way...so yeah, a vote for the MkIII.

Hope it gets here soon cause I burned through 300rds 9mm and 100rds .45 ACP in just over an hour yesterday...will probably do it again tomorrow lol

Last time I opened my wallet it actually said "dude, shoot .22 every once in a while..please...yer killin me!"...true story

I've been fascinated with the Ruger .22LR pistols ever since Sulvester Stallone and Antonio Baderas used them in the movie Assassins. I love my Mark III. That said, they're pretty scarce nowadays, I hear nothing but good things about the Browning Buckmarks.
