The 375CT is very versatile, but really doesn't offer anything over the H&H other than plentiful brass and it's easy to fit into a 98 action.I really like that .375 Chatfield Taylor idea. Seems like a cartridge you could load more friendly than the H&H, say 2500 fps, and still knock just about anything down.
Sounds like a 9.3x62.I guess the idea I like is that of a .375 akin to the .338 Federal: moving heavy bullets at useful speeds in the woods.
Maybe the necked up .30-06 case is a better representation of that idea? I guess you'd get five in the mag that way but would velocities with 300 grains be reasonable compared to say a .45-70 marlin loaded hot?
