What lever actions were "short throws"???

In the last couple years I've picked up two, $400 to $500. One was a very early one around 1930, that is in pristine condition. Couldn't bear taking it out in the field, so bought another one, in excellent, but slightly worse condition. That's the one we use the most. And I've got half dozen different lever action 22s, but the pump goes with us always. It's not a range gun, but a field/plinking gun.

I bought it originally out of curiosity, and as a classic, but after using it a few times, fell in love with it. The pump action only goes back/forth the length of a 22LR, nothing like the length of a shotgun pump stroke.

You know, I've been itching to get a BL-22, but after thinking about it, and seeing some in action.... I think that short throw would really bother me!

Woulld take some getting used to thats for sure...

"Hoytcanon" opened my eyes when he posted. I think the full stroke would be more nostalgic. I have my mind made up on the one I want, you guys can flame me all you want lol.
Since I already own a Marlin Mod 70 bolt action and immediately fell in love with it, I want to track down a Marlin Golden Boy 22lr. Anyone willing to sell me theirs???

If you can, get to a range or in the field with someone who has one and try it out... As I said, I have over a dozen rimfire lever action rifles, and the BL-22's see the least use... Don't get me wrong... They are beautifully made guns, Brownings fit and finish is excellent... But for me the leat attractive feature is the one everyone praises... That awkward short throw... They are also too light and slender for my taste... Particularly for offhand shooting. My issue with the short throw maybe that I grew up shooting Pre-64 Winchester's... Just flicking the lever throws off my rhythm... My favorite current production lever is the Henry Frontier... I LOVE the feel of this gun, I have three of them in LR, WMR and HMR all with Skinner peeps and Lyman 17 AUG globe sights with Lee Shaver inserts... They are pure joy to shoot... As a matter of fact, writing this gave me a great idea... I'm going to shoot them right now...

I am on my third Marlin 39 and think there is no advantage to the short throw.
