Yeah, that's a better idea as everyone can afford the $225 each for ammo if I supply it at my cost. We really just need to find one guy with a KSG that is really willing to wear it out in a day! An afternoon might be asking too much...the plastic will probably start to melt if we run ammo thru the gun non-stop for an extendend period of time! LOL!

sure no problem, but, i thought you guys wanted to do a max stress test....any shotgun that can survive 5k rounds of continuous use over a short period deserves everyones respect...this way at 1k rounds, you would be diluting the test.

no no, 10 guys 1000 shells each one after the other. I think 1000 rounds is enough for one person's shoulder in one day ;) I'm sure we have a few Hercules types that will say they won't feel it but we all know the truth. That would be a lot of recoil if shot continuously. I don't know if I would want to spend more than $100 bucks for my share of shells to break someone else's gun though so maybe we should get more guys to spread out the cost. Plus, I live is Sask and I doubt I would even be able to make it to do this but it's fun to yak about it :)

We know 870's and 590's can do more than this so it is a fair starting point.

Another question, can the KSG barrel be easily removed to polish the chamber? I know I have been bad mouthing the gun but it's all in good fun and I am curious about them

it can be taken apart into little pieces...not that hard either.
 
looks to me like the trigger mechanism is all housed in plastic. Looks like the shell lifter is pinned in the plastic butt assembly. Also seems like the forearm is all plastic with metal inserts. Is it a plastic tube running against the 3 metal tubes or is it a full metal tube in there? It looks like a lot of plastic up against a hot barrel that could melt.

Keltecs have a long history of their polymer components breaking so I would watch those areas carefully

yeah, it will take time to see if they are durable. I waited for the 870 to be on the market for over 50 years before buying one so I'm in no hurry to jump on a new unproven design. Still very curious though. After watching some field strip vids it does look to be better built than I thought at first but I still see a lot of cost cutting maneuvers using polymer in areas that should have been steel or alloy.

Lol...at that rate of speed you won't need a shotgun by then...I'm thinking plasma rifles will debiut

Been drinking one too many wobbly pops ? How the hell is this shotgun even remotely mechanically similar to an ar??? Don't mean to feed the troll but I've had my quota of bs today

I believe he was referring to the currently non-existent plasma rifles mentioned in the post above. You know, like a joke?

Ben, I think that plasma rifles will be restricted as an AR variant. I'm very sorry that your anger management class didn't teach you about humour or reading comprehension. Try to relax a little bit.
