New Chiappa Rhino 60DS 6" Target FIRES 357mag/38sp/9mm! -Trigger Fixed? ** w/ Pix

Just received an email from Clay over at Prophet River..... Turns out he just sold the second target white Rhino to a CGN'er based on this thread. So what say you Hypox!a? Are you the lucky new owner? Now to get back to Clay and work on the free T-shirt......

Unfortunately it wasn't me, guess I wasn't quick enough. I just bought a Beretta 87T last month so my check book isn't going to mind that I didn't get this one lol. Oh well, it's on my list though! Write back here once you've shot, I'm curious as to what you'll think about it.

Damn I was sitting in front of it this morning as well lol, should have thought to look though. Did it have a pic of the conversion piece, or wilderness do tou have a pic of your?

I really wish I could be of more help here. I won't know until I see it now. Being that it was a dealer listing and not some random private seller, and stating that it fires all three in the title and the ad, and it is brand new, I'm confident I will be getting the correct model. Now if there is an actual conversion piece rather than clips then perhaps they can be ordered seperately for other Rhino models in 357mag/38sp then others are set.

Sure do!! You bring the coffee I'll bring the Rhino. I haven't even been to the Selkirk range yet. Purchased a membership there last year and work had me so busy I sold all of my restricteds as I wasn't using them and pumped the funds into a truck build to finish it. Renewed it again this year. Then last week I had some major issues with the truck while trying to pay off two guns with cash. Was a brutal week. The other pistol is a minty Tisas Zigana Sport satin chrome with the ported barrel and slide in 9mm. I'll be bringing both. Another odd ball design and a big boy also. I'll be glad when they both arrive and I take them out to the range.

Deal!

I don't have much interesting, as the family was never big into restricted stuff. Just an 1873 SAA clone (.45, of course) and a Tokarev TT-33. You're welcome to try them, though, if you want to put up with this weather between now and when you get yours (it was certainly brutal yesterday). Good way to get your mind off of troubles :)
My dad and I have been making a habit of saturday mornings since joining this year, usually shooting some pistol first then going over to the rifle range. The old man looks forward to it, even in snotcicle weather.

I know what you mean about missing out..... The odd time it's a blessing in disguise. I will report here when I get her out.

Right on that sound great. Perhaps you guys can show me around a little. This weekend is a little short notice for me, but perhaps the following Saturday I'll shoot you a PM next week and see if your heading out.

Awesome find! Can someone scan the article and print it here or take a close up pic of the page that is legible? I don't subscribe to that mag. This should settle the debate.

Well it looks identical to a regular white rhino, just comes with a 9mm conversion cylinder much like the ruger blackhawk series.

I will try to take some pics of the magazine article later tonight for you.

So it will actually come with a completely seperate cylinder for the 9mm?

Here's part of an article....not sure if it's the same one Chuck is referring to but it mentions the 9mm cylinder as an extra option...

Super interested in one of these but I was scared off by so many reports of poor reliability, parts breaking, and bad service trying to get them fixed. I look forward to hearing more about this. The gun looks amazing but I don't want to buy something with such sketchy range reports, but maybe they've ironed out the reports. Not much would make me happier and my bank account emptier.

Well it's good that it's evolving and improving......Looks like MD Charlton is their Canadian repair center. Nice to know there is support up here for this somewhat complicated action but super fun to shoot revolver!

I was very surprised past few days reading online reviews from reputable testers and Youtube as well. Looking at the latest reviews they actually seem to rave about "rock solid reliabity". That was a bit of a shock so maybe Chiappa has been doing their homework with the Rhino.

I'd definately consider another one if they iron out some of the quirks. I'm looking forward to the range reports for this new Rhino.

"357 Mag, which comes with an optional 9mm conversion cylinder."

I love this quote "I won’t call it ugly because the beauty is in the function, but it does look like something out of a Hollywood Sci-Fi thriller."
It was actually in the remake of Total Recall
