22 is cheap to shoot but not fun to shoot. I personally like a little muzzle flip and recoil. Best to start with a 9mm since most shooters upgrade to larger calibers when they gain more experience. Plus 9mm's are quite cheap to shoot
Fun is relativeSometimes I have fun knowing I put 500 rounds down range and spend as much as 50 rounds of 9mm. Also, I try to do fun things like draw a heart or a flower with 22's for the wife.
Usually, they just look like fluffy clouds.
my wife shoots much better than me. I might suggest she starts drawing me hearts and such.Fun is relativeSometimes I have fun knowing I put 500 rounds down range and spend as much as 50 rounds of 9mm. Also, I try to do fun things like draw a heart or a flower with 22's for the wife.

What have you decided on???
Side note, took wifey to the range and she fired the 22 then 9 then 45 and now refuses to fire anything but the 45
I had opposite experience with my wife this past weekend.
Took her to range to shoot 9 and 22 and now she won't shoot anything bigger than 22.
Oh well, that's just more 9mm for me!![]()

My 3 picks are the Glock 17 g4, Sig Sauer p226 and CZ75/SP-01. I need to see how they feel (grip, size, weight)...
IF I can afford another one in the next month or so, I'd like to get a .22lr; browning camper or ruger mark 3.
I bought the Colt 1911 22 GOLD CUP TROPHY and I love it
