German HK45 Pistol PREORDER!

What I am saying is; I never seen nor heard of a HK45C with the "Spider-Man" (HK45 style) grip as some people suggested... There was however a prototype HK45 with the "P2000" (HK45C style) grip, but it never made it to production.
Made in Germany or not, I'm pretty sure any HK45C will look like the pic you posted.

The HK45's frame is derived from P30 series. HK45 C frame is derived from the P2000. There is a story about how Larry Vickers and Ken Hackathorn were involved in HK45 development
 
Just to keep CGN posted, we are awaiting word to come to us from HK Germany by way of our distributor regarding which magazines the Compact will ship with (8rnd or 10rnd).

Hi Daniel, I emailed you on Sunday to see if I can order the HK45C that will ship with the 8 round magazines (the ones like the picture above with the extended finger rest) but have not heard back yet. I see from your post above that you guys are trying to figure it out. Please let us know as soon as you find out as I too do not want to miss out on this pre-order. Thank you.

Do the compact LEM models still have the external safety? (I'm hoping they do not, that's why I'm asking.)

And is the optional 4.5-5lb LEM trigger available? Rather than the standard ~8lb

Good news/bad news: No, and no. HK has ONLY scheduled the 8lb LEM modules and the standard DA/SA. The 8lb LEM trigger has no external safety whatsoever.

No external safety is awesome. Very disappointed that they aren't doing a run of the lighter triggers, I guess I will just have to hunt down the springs, etc and do the conversion myself. Have to give it some thought before throwing down the deposit, going to sleep on it.
 
Just to keep everyone up to date:

Compacts ship with 8rnd mags (10s and 8s are available as additional mags)
Fullsizes ship with 10rnd mags (10s are available as additional mags)
LEM models are the V7 8lb trigger with no external safety lever
Pistols ship with hard case, two mags, mag loader, instruction manual
Thread protectors for the Compact WILL be available at time of arrival (price to be determined, probably in and around the $35 mark)
Only one run is currently scheduled for Canada by HK Germany. Future runs are scheduled at least 10 months in advance so as of current timeline any future run would be at least a year off


Demand has been extremely high! We are really happy that HK is finally producing this pistol for Canada.

We are able to run our preorders until Friday. All preorders until day's end Friday are guaranteed for this initial shipment. After that we will be able to work with HK Germany for latecomers and will probably be able to secure them for the same shipment, but HK Germany can only guarantee orders submitted by week's end. We have some leeway as we have also ordered several of each model for store inventory, so we can presell those as guaranteed preorders on a first-come, first serve basis. After that, we can do preorders but we cannot make the same guarantee -- just HK Germany's word that there should probably be enough for additional orders.

If you are interested in this pistol, please contact me ASAP at My Email to secure yours for this initial shipment. We want as many HK fans shooting these come winter time as possible! I will work with you to make it happen.

Are the 10 round mags for the compact just the fullsize 10 rounders or the comapct tac version with the giant floor plate?? Also do the 8 rounders have the pinky lip on the floor plate?? Finally will it be possible to pre order the thread protectors?? Thanks!!
 
Okay, this is sounding pretty good. Is it possible to preorder (or order) some small parts, such as some specific springs at the same time as all of this?
 
Just a reminder that today is Friday! I have a huge load of emails from overnight and was working late last night until 8:30PM to get as many done under the cutoff as we can! I WILL get to your email today if you email me, and we are willing to work with you guys to make it happen :D

We have been advised that HK45 small parts including thread protectors will be available, but at this time it is unknown which parts will be arriving. So we're not doing preorders on the small parts, but we WILL post on CGN when we get news!
