It's rather unfortunate that you don't see this as being achievable, I don't think it would have been worth the time to post this range report if it wasn't very suprising to myself, I'm not claiming to have some supernatural XCR or shooting ability, just trying to share my resuts, but people are going to belief what they want to believe.

He could just be a better marksman than you, too.

I considered that possibility. What he cannot do is improve the capability of the gun beyond reason. This is a semi-auto CQB rifle, not a precision sub .5MOA target/varmint/sniper grade rifle. It doesn't stand to reason, that's all...

No doubt that the OP could be a better shot than I. I don't proclaim to be a great shot, just competent. However, you cannot be so good that you shoot beyond the firearms capability...

Yeah, doubt it....(that being a better shot than me means he can defy natural law).
But I see what you did there, and good one.;)

Just saying, I've seen some pretty unbelievable stuff. Stuff that had I not been there, I wouldnt have believed possible, I guess you could say im open to the possibility of an XCR shooting like that. None ive ever seen have, but that doesnt mean his doesnt.

Incredible results. I hate to be skeptical, but.... "as an XCR owner..." as a bunch of others have said, I can't imagine that coming from my gun, that's my only hold up is my own limitations/experiences with my own... I would definitely watch a vid if ya make one. Or better yet, PM and go shooting sometime.

Yes, this is true, but... I would bet $1000 that in my presence, these results can not be achieved by a decorated marine sniper with that firearm. Yes, I can afford to make that bet...

I tells you what sport.
Hows about you pick a day good for shooting, (and works with both our schedules), you come to Calgary with your shiny XCR.
I'll arrange the factory ammo (I'll even spring for Federal GMM if'n you prefer) and I'll give you the entire day to repeat those two groups as claimed. You do it and the day's on me with a nice steak diner to cap it all off and I'll make a long winded retort to the fun we're having at your expense in this thread.
I'm well aware of the rifle/ammo/shooting combination required to make such groups, and the only way I'd believe the claims made in this thread is if I saw it with my own eyeballs.

I would like to assist in the cost of this engagement if the results are achieved.

I love all the talk about what a proper grouping is. Just for clarification:

2-is a pair
3-is a group
4-is a party
10-is an orgy

Nice shooting OP, now I need and XCR in .223 to keep big rather XCR-M company.

Quoted from Wikipedia entry on 'sniper rifle':
Typical World War II-era sniper rifles were generally standard-issue battle rifles, selected for accuracy, ....
So is it possible that the OP was really, really lucky and got one of those 'sniper accuracy' XCRs?

OK boys, get together to make it happen. All of us with XCR-L would luv to see the results repeated and verified.

XCR more precise than a Swiss Arms, gonna luv that.

After reading through this thread I feeling hopeful that my JR carbine in 9mm just might be able to do the same (group 10rds twice in sub MOA from 100+meters with factory ammo,) I mean if there's a stock ,223 XCR out there that is factory capable of multiple 10rd ,35" MOA groups at 124meters maybe it could be true for my 9mm Carbine as well, not that my JR Carbine is the equal to a ,223 XCR, But,,,

I heard from a guy who knows a guy (no names) that an EX~SEAL told him that a few JR Carbines in 9mm were made specially for the movie "Act of Valor" and they were capable of ,5" MOA all day long with factory ammo, and during the making of the movie some of these Super Sniper Attack CQB 9MM JR Carbines went missing and mysteriously made it to the Canadian market for resale;)
Man I can't wait to get to the range and see if mines one of them, I even have an advantage because I won't have to reload after 5rds when making 10rd groups like a Canadian model XCR shooter would have too:cool:

I think that this is a good idea, as long as the conditions are decent I think that this should happen, I would welcome the opportunity to go shooting with you and show you the groups that this XCR has been putting out. I don't suppose the 20th will work for you would it?

Now this thread is getting interesting. You need video/pics for this event! :)

Why should he come to you? If you NEED this proof so bad you go to him.
Why would you suggest he change ammo? His barrel obviously likes the Fiocchi. Are you so afraid he will actually repeat those groups you want to try to try to throw it off with a change in ammo? Fed gold match may work well in most rifles but it isn't the best in all rifles.
Make sure you post where and when you arrange this meeting because I would love to come as well. I'll bring a few toys to play with when he's letting his barrel cool.
I'll buy a round of beers to go with the steaks if I can make it.

Good shooting Sharpshooter, the force is strong with you.

Move it from the 20th to the 27th and I should be able to make it.

Aw, so many people get all twisted up when someone posts a good day at the range with groups they are happy with. Soooo sad. Mines bigger bahahaha.

Great shooting OP. As said before, don't let these Debbie Downers ruin your good day at the range.

EDIT - if you do this little challenge, make sure they pay for the ammo and supper regardless of the end result. They are the ones whining, let them pay to bring you out.

J

I am just jealous that I can't get out and keep other shooters company with Spring starting to come.
Nice shooting, thanks for sharing.

What is it about XCRs that bring out the critics, who specialize in picking the fly droppings out of a pepper shaker at three thousand miles?

Okay I will try and get the 27th off from work!
