I am a total noob to the range. My first visit was today and while touring the grounds I noticed that the cowboy shooting range had buffalo, cowboy and "indian" metal targets. Is this the norm? If so, Is shooting at caricatures of a particular race really necessary? I do realize that cowboys could be any race, but at the same time....
I did a bit of research and found that people get into the mindset of the period usually dressing up like cowboys at the competitions...If I dress up like a native person and compete in one of these events do I only shoot at the cowboy and buffalo targets? (joking)
