Hey guys! Got an awesome deal on the EE from a great cgn'er!! I got an unfired vz58 7.62. It came with the synthetic furniture. Full buttstock not the m4 collapsible. It also came with a factory folder and a complete set of wood furniture(unfinished). I already have a tactical cz858 and I was looking for a vz58 to do a full wood set on anyway so I was very pleased to pick this up.
I believe the wood set was made by cgn member Travis Bickle's brother as it looks exactly like the sets he was making. So all credit goes to him for the wood. He does really nice work. I know a few of his sets are out there. So what did you do with yours? I saw pics of Travis's set and it looks really nice!! With the blond color. That's what I'm leaning towards. But I'm kinda partial to red like the AK's and sks's. My brother suggested doing something different like a grey color stain. I saw a laminate sks on here awhile ago that a cgn'er had refinished with a grey stain that looked really good. I'm thinking of using polyshades and doing like five coats to get a really nice finish. This is just for looks probably won't be fielded much with this set at least not in heavy brush
So let's see what you've done or just weigh in and give me your opinion. Tried to make a poll but can't seem to find it anymore??
So:
1- blond
2- red
3- grey
4- other
