Can anyone recommend a "reliable" forward action staple gun for targets.

Seems the forward models take less effort from the regular construction "Arrow" type to use, but all the reviews I see say most are garbage.

Anyone care to share their experience and where they can be found?

I use this from Home Depot
PowerShot
Forward Action Staple & Nail Gun
Model: 5700F10 | Store SKU: 1000101954

works great, no jams, it's light, only times it doesn't work is when I forget to reload it...

Another vote for the powershot stapler. I've had mine for over 8 years and no problems. Even use it as a gun to shoot balloons when I'm really bored.

Bought a Canadian Tire one on sale and it has served me well for a few years now.

Mastercraft Sure Shot® Heavy-Duty Staple/Nail Gun
Product #57-7916-6

Just don't go for the plastic ones, they do not last. Wait for the sales at Canadian tire, happens about 4 time a year.

Started out with a Bostich T5-8 tacker...way too heavy duty. Good for construction, not for targets.

Bought a Stanley aluminum stapler but it doesn't work stapling targets to cardboard, only works with wood.

Finally got an Arrow JT-21M that works great for targets. It's lightweight and has a built in staple remover. Uses 1/4", 5/16" or 3/8" staples. Got it at Lowes.
