I'm going to try my best to ram 286 grains into a muskox tomorrow. If this frigging wind would just die down!
Good luck on your Muskox foray there BUM. What are you going for, trophy or meat?
My rechambered (by me) Husky shoots great - right around an inch at 100m, . . . but, first round is always about 2 inches below the rest of the group (this is with Prvi 285s). Any ideas?
I'm talking about a single session. I let the barrel cool down totally before trying a new load, so I'm talking about first round in a group with a cold barrel, not a clean barrel. This only happened so far with 285 grainers, haven't had a chance to try anything else. Tradeex was out of the 232 gr. Vulkans, so I haven't got to try them yet.
So, is it still a Husky??
Just got my 9.3mm back from the smithy's, & thought I would take the opportunity to brag a little.
Barrel & action are original Husqvarna, scope is a Leupold M8 4x. Griffin & Howe mounts, Beuhler safety, Blackburn bottom metal.

Wood is actually much darker than what it appears in the photos, closer to what you see in this one:
