Whats the story on the 9.3X62 in Canada?

Same here: been windy for a week now. Last Thursday evening we went fishing for burbot. Just before the sun went down it started to blow from the North, and by the time we quit fishing, 11:30 PM, it was really blowing and 20 below. We got a nice bunch of burbot, though, and had two really big fish frys.

Good luck tomorrow, take care of yourself, and don't waste any of those RNs. ;)

I'm quite suprized at how accurate the prvi 286 cartridges and the zastava is. I was getting 2" groups at 100m, with a 25 year old 4x32 scope. The crosshairs covered most of the bullseye.

My rechambered (by me) Husky shoots great - right around an inch at 100m, . . . but, first round is always about 2 inches below the rest of the group (this is with Prvi 285s). Any ideas?

I'm talking about a single session. I let the barrel cool down totally before trying a new load, so I'm talking about first round in a group with a cold barrel, not a clean barrel. This only happened so far with 285 grainers, haven't had a chance to try anything else. Tradeex was out of the 232 gr. Vulkans, so I haven't got to try them yet.

What is the barrel channel like...any contact on it or is it fully floated? I would bed the action and the first couple of inches of the barrel and see how it behaves after that. My guess is that it would sort the problem out.

I've never got good accuracy with the Privi bullets. Doesn't matter which powder.

My best accuracy comes with 286 gr Hornadys or 270 gr Speers with Varget at 59 and 60 grs respectively. 286 gr Nosler partition are also good with RL15.

Also, 286 gr Hornadys with a warmish load of RL17 did real well. Fast too.

So, is it still a Husky??

Just got my 9.3mm back from the smithy's, & thought I would take the opportunity to brag a little.

Barrel & action are original Husqvarna, scope is a Leupold M8 4x. Griffin & Howe mounts, Beuhler safety, Blackburn bottom metal.

Wood is actually much darker than what it appears in the photos, closer to what you see in this one:

P.S. It gained a little weight in the process: originally, with the beechwood stock it was a nice trim 7 1/2 lbs. With the new wood, scope mounts & bottom metal, it now tips the scales at 9 lbs even with scope, but empty, 8 lbs with the scope removed.
