Where are all the SKS's ? Shopping for one

So, i checked at Marstar (with ammos) but the shipping, taxes and handling price are hard to get.

I've read a comment saying it almost comes to 500$ (which obviously kills the deal).

Any experience on that ?

My comparison point is 429$ + 5% taxes = 450$ for both items (ammo was even non corrosive) at CanAm like 2-3 months ago. More than 450$ not worth it IMO.

I won't buy a Russian unless its new and laminated.
 
Check local shops... All the SKS stuff I want ammo, stocks, the gun itself seems to be sold out online. My local shops seem to have a crap ton tho some how !
 
So you want a non refurb "K" letter gun then? Not impossible, but good luck. Or are you talking a fresh refurb with a replacement laminate stock right out of the crate?

I'm talking about a good condition no ###### on the stock all matching numbers, not franken pinned and no other ####ty stuff.
 
If you want new, you should get one with a hardwood stock. The laminates are junk anyway. The whole SKS market is completely backwards if you ask me. You pay more for a refurbished laminate stock SKS opposed to an original hardwood that has not seen the light of day for 60 years...

Weimajack has unissued non refurb matching number Russians. Canada Ammo has Chinese Military which are also unissued non refurb matching numbers for $200 shipped plus tax. Both are excellent quality rifles. I don't know how a brand new Russian SKS shoots but the Chinese shoot good.

Ya but weimajack charges shipping and taxes (15% in QC) which puts him instantly out of the game. Sucks for him.

The gun shop in the mall in Winkler MB has 10 or so un issued and a whole bunch more refurb. range in the 200 area .

They are called Dominion Outdoors. And have online shopping

Ask who the supplier/distributor is. If you want the good stuff. Ask if the supplier is Savminter Enterprises, I.E. Westrifle. Which sells them by the box and not the by the crate. That is the ticket. Majority of the retailers are out west, so shipping will bite you in the ass.

Hate to be the barer if bad news, but you are SOL as the pickings are get slim... the prices are now going up.

Some others (westrifle for example) has the same thing 10% cheaper due to taxes. Some others even have free shipping.

Thanks a lot good infos.

Anybody knows when westrifle will have some more ? Don't mind paying 220-270 for a nice one. I know its worth it coming from them.

Yes im considering a chinese version if paired with a crate !
