Where are all the SKS's ? Shopping for one

you could contact Reliable Gun in Vancouver, I was there April 6 and they had 2 on display.. though I think they are unissued, not refurbs, you'd have to email/phone them for details.. anyway, price is $199 + tax n ship.. i'm sure they have more " in the back"
 
The reason people are saying good luck is because there wasn't huge numbers produced in the first place, and it's not like they all made it into Canada. You are asking for a fairly rare gun. Unissued rifles aren't exactly everywhere and require some looking, to go on a hunt for one that's uncommon, and rare among those already. I wish you the best of luck on your search, but you got the odds stacked up against you. Be prepared to pay to be picky.
 
Buy local if you can. No sense in paying for shipping on an SKS... At least not anytime soon.

If you still don't have any luck.... oh it pains me to say this, but Lever Arms.

They import crates of these things on a regular bases, and generally have cases of them on display. Pick and choose refurb, or not. I picked up a few just prior to christmas for $150 / ea - all matching s/n and no ### stock. Let's just say, who ever picked them might not have known the difference between refurb and non refurb...

I think they are back up to $200 for refurb and like $275 for non refurb.

He doesnt want to sell to me because i said 6 months ago (in a pm) that it sucked that he charges the regular price (695) for a cz 858+ shipping and 15% taxes while its the same price free ship + 5% taxes at canam.

Was trying to bargain the price and he got insulted or something ( maybe because i asked for his taxes licence numbers) .

Now i want a sks and i am ready to pay every single fees that he charges and he doesnt want. All this to explain that hes not an option. Hes too busy trying to make friends instead of trying to make money.

Maybe give us a hint as to the area your from and someone might have some inside knowledge on who has a nice supply in stock! I came across a hidden GEM yesterday and picked it up. This happens out there a lot and if we know where your looking maybe we can help!! Maybe.....

Its hopeless. I am in QC.

Nothing local, i dont even bother. Plus i can wait for westrifle or until i find a D model.
 
There was a non refurb #'s matching letter series at a gunshop locally a couple weeks ago. Next time I go in, If hes got one I will pick it up. If you wanna buy it, you can and if not I will keep it. I don't have one of them, YET..... lol

Just be on the ball.. and when Westrifle gets there stock.... jump all over it.. E-mail Al at Westrile.. tell him what you want.. he can set one aside for you.... great to deal with.

And it will be pinned to the follower= extra bonus
 
A nice 49, 50 ( spring bolt) . If your interested I could talk to my local gun store if he still has one. He did tell me he charges actual shipping. These are refurbs, but if he still has the 1950 it isn't in bad shape.
