357 lever action

A word, in favour of the Rossi "92"

... I've a "ROSSI" rifle. It's fun to shoot and a decent price/value for money ( Wanstalls purchased ). Without a doubt the safety is the pitts, BUT, there's the option of not using it, easier said than done, or doing as I'm planning, eliminating it completely. A "kit" filler plug is available to make it look pretty good and the safety is hardly necessary except for California Liability reasons! LOL !! ...... Sights are not the greatest, but easily and affordably, replaced. ..... David K

Anybody looking for a lever 357 should contact John at Wing's Live Bait in Lyndhurst. Tel:613-928-2382
As soon as I refinish the stock, he will have a Browning 92 in stock.
Metal is pretty good too.

I have a Marlin 1894C and a Ruger 77/357.
The Marlin is a nicer gun hands down (lots of $$ invested) but not very useful as a truck gun.
The Ruger is mag fed but finicky in loading and the mags don't drop on eject.
I can't make-up my mind on which one to keep.
Oh well, I'll keep them both. :D

Le Baron has a 22 Uberti…….hm hm hm. The finish on that is just amazing, wood like the high end o/u shotguns, action is smooth and feels like a very expensive mechanical device. Next was a 94 Winchester. What can i say? Superb gun with a very high appealing wood (looks grade 5 but was just grade 1) Versus older Winchester this new ones are nice, i don’t know if $1200 nice when the Ubertis are just $200 more (for the same centerfire caliber). So still looking and thank you all for your inputs.

I have a Marlin Cowboy - 10 shot, octagon barrel - a very sweet rifle. Very smooth action now. It is surprising just how much that extra 2" adds to the balance.

The thing I like most is that it is a side ejection, not a top eject like the Winny's and Uberti's. That mean's if I ever decide I don't wanna cowboy shoot - I can always put a scope on it without too much trouble. It's already drilled for mounts.

The Uberti is worth the extra $200 without question(in my opinion), the toggle action of the 1866 and 1873's are probably the smoothest actions ever made for a lever.

My votes for the uberti I've shot them all except the new Winchester 92, I have shot the old original 92 and enjoyed it. But the uberti 73 is my absolute favourite in fact I refer to it as my first born son.
