Enfield P14 de-sporterize

I bought a good condition sporter Enfield P14 with a good shootable bore.

I would like to add it to my milsurp collection but not as a sporter.

So I need a couples of things for de-sporterize :

- Boyds Stock
- Boyds handguards ( 2 )
- And alot of small parts... # 48 - 49 - 50 - 51 - 53 -55 -56 ( thx Marstar for the picture ;) )



Now, I have few questions :

1 - Where can I buy a stock from BOYDS if it cost more than 100 bucks ?

2 - Is that I forget some pieces?

As far as I can see on the Boyds website, they only sell sporter stocks that don't take handguards. You will have to keep your eye on the EE or Ebay to find a whole, unchopped military stock. You can get NOS handguards from Numrich and most of the other parts required to complete it.

Yeah Numrich is a good place but I heard the shipping prices are crazy.

Boyds make a military stock for the p17 and they say it will fit a P14.

Ebay? I was watching for the same item. A 1917 Eddystone stock sold for $317 US on March 6, and $260 US for a P14 Remington on March 20. Add shipping and other parts to that and it would likely be far cheaper buy a complete rifle on the EE.

That is awesome! Didn't realize that. There is still the problem of them not shipping anything over the $100.00 limit though. You will still need to import it through an importation company and you would be right up there with the rediculous prices on ebay when it was finally in your hands, but it would be a knock off and not original.

Unless you can get a stock for about $150-$200 you would be farther ahead to just buy a full military stocked one and not have to worry about the cost spiraling out of control. You should be able to buy a great one for about $450-$550. Then you could sell that sportered one for $150-$200 and you will only have $300-$400 into it.

i got 2 p14 stocks from BRP Corp a while back they are from the us, what i did was get a international import agrement from the canadian customs and emailed a copy to BRP and they sent the two stocks to me no problems.Just go an their website they have a contact #, give them a call and see what they say

Yeah I know this, that's why I want to know which dealer is already importing stocks from Boyds in Canada...

I don't want to buy another, I just want to *save* this one :p

I saw a couples of P14 and P17 in this price range for sale and most of them looks in bad shape.

"...Ebay?..." Evil, anti-firearm ownership empire. They give money to the people who think you should not be allowed to own any kind of firearm.
There shouldn't be any issue bringing in a P14/17 stock. Other than the cost. It's getting to the point where re-storing a sporterized milsurp is far more expensive than buying one. Boyds won't export anything worth more than $100 US either.

Ebay : prices of stocks are way too high, that's crazy !!!

Boyds : I know they do not export items that cost more than 100$ before taxes and shipping. I know it for years... I need to find an canadian importer ( read Dealer ).

But at this moment, my best bet is BRP. I'm waiting for the email reply. They are closed for the weekend.

I ordered missing parts from Numrich today.

Now I need :

- Rear sling swivel
- Military stock
- Handguards F and R
- Front Volley sight
 
did you order the stock from BRP, i found that the front site removal is much easier if you submerge the front site in light oil for 3 or 4 days befor removal,knock out the cross pin .Get someone to hold the rifle up side down with the mussel on a block of hard wood.Take a second block of wood behind the front sits ears and give it a firm blow with a 20 oz hammer and it should come off, if this dosent work you will need a sight puller.Hope this helps

I want to order my stock from BRP but I need to fill some importation papers before ordering.

Maybe I will try to remove the front sight this weekend. This is the only thing left on the action, everything else is disasembled. Thank you for the tips.
