Would you like a picture of me at work? Or would you like a vendor I purchase equipment from to back me up? No problem doing either.
You're missing the point by at least a couple light years.

Some departments don't put hundreds of rounds through a gun before it gets issued. What do you think a cop using his gun do defend his life against an armed criminal will do when his gun ####s the bed. He's gonna die.
The ratio of broken bolts vs non-broken bolts on the canadian market vs the american market is astounding. It's like we got all of american's factory rejects or something.
That would be if these broken bolts were us made...Some departments don't put hundreds of rounds through a gun before it gets issued. What do you think a cop using his gun do defend his life against an armed criminal will do when his gun ####s the bed. He's gonna die.

snip* I think the problem with notsorichguys bolt was that it was a Canadian manufacturer mass producing, without testing, and hastily manufacturing an item they know will sell like hot cakes.
Ding!
The BIGGEST problem I have with the manufacturer, is that they stated that the BCG was Magnetic Particle Tested...... This bolt OBVIOUSLY wasn't.......
Still no contact from the supplier.....
ask them for the batch number and the test lab.
I'd love to...... But all I hear is Crickets......
I just re-checked their web site. It NO LONGER states MPI testded...... I know it did, that is why I ordered it in the first palce!
BBB, have any bolts in stock?

This is where your mentality hits a brick wall. Some people can only afford budget firearms and parts, and when those break prematurely, they can't just go out and spend $250 on a new bolt carrier. Some of us have priorities like rent, mortgage, insurance, children, etc. Cost of living is high now, and we all want to enjoy our shooting sports as much as the other. I approve of some of your posts and advice, but half the time you come off as an elitist snob. At no point was anything mentioned about accesories either so I'm not quite sure why that was brought up.
Nothing needed to be said about accessories. How many "budget" firearms owners run an SKS with a half dozen cheap Chinese accessories bolted to it? In my experience, all of them. Budget is a term to describe a set value over a specific time frame. Check your priorities, you might have to limit yourself to one gun or run a system you can afford to support. Nothing wrong with running something within your "budget". Unfortunately most fail to budget in spare parts and extra magazines(as in 10 or more) when deciding on a firearm. The other common one is ammo. How many threads have there been where a guy buys a hand cannon and then complains he can't find ammo? Its called proper previous planning prevents piss poor performance. Do some research, work the numbers. You might have to WAIT until you have the funds to afford the firearm you want or simply have to choose something else.
TDC
MPI might not be the problem
Put it this way -- I broke a 8 in file one day at work in half it was a cheep file not name brand --->using it to hold (steady) a part for some one to fit as I was not going to put my fingers under the pc of equipment to hold it
I was a bit shocked when the file broke with only hand pressure
Heat treating makes them hard but if you use the wrong steel or heat treat them wrong they become brittle
PS I did MPI & LPI testing in house (QC) and tested stuff and written up reports / scrap / repair / reweld / rework / send back etc.
One day I was asked to do a quick check on some steel that had been heat treated, ---> Actually to count them before shipment (machined and every thing)-- saw a crack on one pc --.did a MPI -- Called the bosses ---
did several more MPI (with them watching) 5000 lb of steel into the scrap bin --- $$$$$ flush $$$$$
the bosses were not happy but at least it did not go the the customer
Parts that are purchased " Certified" to this Spec can be very expensive to recheck your suppliers product, Some times you have to take there word for it--- and some times S___ Happens that is beyond your control.
OP any word yet from the retailer?
