My 2012 Can Am shorty had a front sight that looked similar. Very distracting to use. It turns out that the barrel was not over-indexed but the front sight/flash hider itself was canted. After removing the front sight/flash hider it was obvious that the internal splines were machined quite a few degrees off. Amazing. Much better than an over-indexed barrel though!

that means the barrel is not indexed properly... everything on that barrel is precut to to be properly in place when the barrel is in correctly. i would wager that your oprod runs a bit to one side or the other in relation to the gas cylinder.
