They have over 1100 pieces in stock as of right now...

At a rate of 50 guns per week this deal could last 22 more weeks, or nearly 6 months

They have more combos in stock than this thread has posts, if every post in this thread was a gun purchase they would be nearly sold out.

Looks like I will be buying a 3rd combo!

I don't know young fresh, cheap and good, based on what everyone is saying here so far. it depends on what you will be using it for.
With that many left in stock I will be picking up another kit in June!! ,,,,$170,,,for a new .45 1911, shipped to me all the way across the country,, FREE,,, and some folks can still get their mouth up to complain about a couple week wait!?

Sorry for not reading the 1000 first post but as of right now.. what is the wait like from order to shipping ? Do you get charged at the order or at the shipping ?

and i agree also with the order, forget about it, get a surprise someday!

How many people's decision to buy this deal, was influenced by the fact that the gun has no "Norinco" or "Made in China" stampings?

It was secondary for me, because I have had excellent results with Norinco products, but it was definitely a factor.

price was #1 factor, how often do you get a new gun for under $200? the no norinco marking was just a bonus

It would be fun to know if these guns were ordered for a different purpose ... ie: military or police order
And for what country .... if they can even disclose that.

Or is it just a general run of a 'no markings' 1911 for general public consumption.

CanadaAmmo?

Or, to play satan's lawyer, are they seconds that didn't pass muster at final inspection

Yay! My .45 just arrived. Ordered on the 23rd was shipped the 9th and showed up at 12:30 today. The pistol and the wooden crate of ammo, oh along with a sweet AR pen and a copy of Calibre magazine. Thanks again Canada Ammo.

Condomboy said in post 690...

two hands... but how many holsters can you fit on your belt? when you run out of ammo with one gun, switch guns instead of mags

as for how many they have, it was a cancelled military order... how many guns would an army order? probably enough to arm the entire army then a few for back ups / new guys

I got mine on Friday and it all looks good except for the rear 1/2 inch of the left of slide. the metal is no longer smooth/polished, its very rough and its not parallel to the rear right side. this coupled with other comments of broken grips and/or excess scuff marks makes me think it might be a load of factory seconds. Its still a good deal and not worth trying to send back, but it might explain the low cost. I am happy I got in on it and I might go back for more.
