Well for me it's bin about 3 weeks and they haven't even got the transfer going. Once they finally decide to I'm lookin at another 4-5 weeks at the BC CFO.

I'm not seeing the good... Cracked grips, shoty finish, sharp edges, 10 pound trigger pulls. The list go's on if you read the thread.

But whatever... It is what it is.
You do know your buying a norc,,right? For $170. tell you what. I will do you a favor and take the .45 off your hands for $170. p. o. s. that it is and you can use the ammo on the .45 you buy for 3 times +++ the money, then you can see the good! Happy, Happy, Happy!

I would think/wonder, that being a military order,, q/c may have been brought up a notch. Either way just the fact of it being part of a military order is cool and no norc/china marks!! Possibly like the sks civilian model as opposed to the military models!!
Wow it won't be long before you see these on the EE' k. for tons of cash due to the uniqueness of them!

Just got mine today,
Seems to be in good shape.

Mags are a little sticky going in but come out just fine.
Slide works just fine (isn't too difficult to rack).
Slide stop works just fine (isn't too difficult to use).

Ofcourse i've been using a tt-33 so i might be adjusted for a harder slide/stop.

Haven't had a chance to take it apart and clean it real good or shoot it but it seems fine, Especially for it's price tag.

I appreciate the fact that there are no slide / frame markings.

Makes for a very nice, clean "build" gun.

A little dehorning, and refinishing, and the Norinco *IS* a first - class

excellent quality handgun.

I ordered on the 24th of April, and am patient. In a moment of panic, however,

I pulled out my PAL card to see what the expiry date was - since I hadn't used it

in a LONG time!!! Whew! I'm OK until next spring. That could mean I need to get

yet another 1911 package in a couple of weeks, if they're still available.

That was a reply to bobdbldr saying that it was cheap and good.

I know what I'm getting but I don't think he does.

Mine arrived and very quickly I might add! :-D I'm currently deep frying a turkey in the grease the gun was packed in LOL. I've completely stripped it down, cleaned it, added a little teflon lube, replaced the grip with a wrap around Hogue (the factory plastic was broken when I removed them) and included a full length guide rod.... Ready to rock and roll!! She's not the prettiest girl at the party but she looks functional ;-) Those of you out there unhappy with your $170.00 gun because of over inflated expectations...Give y'er head a shake (in my best Scottish accent!) Thanks Can Am! You rock!!!!!!!

How much are the hogue wraparounds? How do they feel? Better grip and such!

So here are some pics of the 499.00 deal maker. please note the finish on the left side at the back and little in the front left... there is a variance on the tone of the slide vs. frame not a big deal but an observation non the less....

if you haven't got one yet - Do it.

I like the look of polished steel. I may just polish this girl up. but ya its kind of a crap finish. but still a good deal. will find out over the weekend how she shoots.

the front has the same thing

from the back side you can almost make out how the slide sides are not parallel. almost.

The back looks like actual material is missing not finish but you would be able to tell. Also it looks like there is less slide material thickness on the left side where the frame slides in. Looking at other 1911s this is equal on both sides.
