Accuracy is certainly important, however consistency is paramount in a hunting rifle. There is nothing more pleasing than a hunting rifle that maintains it POI regardless of conditions.
Went to the range this evening to check my wife's rifle for bear hunting. These are two shots taken from a cold clean barrel, weather thirty degrees warmer.

Knowing that the bullet is going to go where it is supposed to, even though it has been months since you fired it last, is one of the most comforting thoughts as you are about to squeeze the trigger.
