Just a few points:

We offer an exchange policy if you get something your are unhappy with

The guns we have pulled out and looked at have all had the regular blued norinco finish. I have yet to see one that was bad myself. We are not trying to trick anyone.

When you sell this many of anything, you are bound to not be up to everyone's standards, every time. It is what happens in manufacturing.

Even after all this recent "bad press" about the incoming Norinco's, I think most of us will be pleasantly surprised.
And if they're really that bad, I'll paint one pink and give it to the GF. Some say she has low standards, anyway.

Woohoo. Mine should be in tomorrow or thursday at the latest. Sweet. Ill also post up pics for everyones reference. Im headed to the range on saturday so ill get some shooting impressions then as well.

I think a bit more info at the start that these were 15 year old pieces with an odd provenance would have been helpful, though.

Does the website reflect real time order status changes, or will it read "Processed - Charged and payment completed" until it hits my door step?

Called cfc, my transfer is approved and info emailed. Just need it to ship. Or who knows maybe it did and will just show up on my doorstep

Yes it was an extremely good deal.

However I am upset canam did not provide better pictures (big enough to actually see) and they should have mentioned they have finish issues as for some people that would be a deciding factor on whether or not they purchased it.

I don't think it's fair to blame CanAm on the varying quality. My gun came sealed in a plastic back packed in grease. There would be no way for them to determine the finish on each gun without opening each individually. As it so happens my finish is standard Norinco with the exception of a few scratch type areas where the finish didn't take well. I have no complaints whatsoever and I'm sure there are many who feel the same.

Can't ask for anything more than that as far as backing the product. I may be inclined to exchange if my example is like the previous pics, but not for a scuff or two.
Looks like the machine missed those two spots.

Cleaned mine up this morning, looks great, finish is good too! I really like the lack if norinco symbols.

I will buy another when I can too, hopefully the deal is around by then

And pics of my norc with the army of ammo!

Good Day, tried calling your toll-free number but mailbox is full. Sent email via your site. Order hasnt been shipped yet (april 24th) , what is your policy on cancelling orders not shipped yet? Interested in a different pistol combo, or would it also be 3+ weeks to process/ship?

Ditto. At least the long wait has allowed buyers remorse the time to fully mature. I'd like to buy the pistol that I want, rather than just the one that happens to be cheap (and I can reload for far less than any commercial ammo anyway, which makes it even less of a deal for me).

yeah yeah I know - more for the rest of you. fill your boots.

So any takers on evaluating the missing iron from the left front and rear slide? wish mine looked that the one above. Nice!

To me it looks like the forging was slightly small and just didn't have enough material to completely get surface ground to a smooth finish. Still looks like there is plenty of meat there, I wouldn't worry about it, I think it's just cosmetic.

well I was thinking the same thing that its not enough material to be structural. so im thinking I'm either going to polish and re blue or just polished or maybe Duracoat. what ever i do I knew that this was going to be a great base for my next project. I'm gonna keep this puppy and beautify her

The norcs of the 90`s are crude looking guns period...
..However ugly and rough as they are they have a strong reputation of being trouble free and go bang every time you pull the trigger, unlike more than a few high end 1911 makers.
Leave the beauty queens in the safe and have fun with this diamond in the rough with 1000 rds of range fun. Shoot it hard and put it away wet.
