Got my letter saying transfer complete and transport papers, its the letter saying i am getting the permit in another letter,? so gun and ammo should be on its way soon for the long free journey across Canada! Those pistols are looking good!

I am real happy with mine, can't wait to take it out to the range this weekend!

My safety is stupidly stiff though, takes two hands to activate/disengage it... Anyone else with one of these Norcs got a stiff safety? This is my first 1911 so I'm not sure if it just needs time to break in, or if I'll have to bring it to a gunsmith for filing.

Also, when you guys are saying you're happy with the slide/frame fit are you saying there is NO rattle when the hammer is cocked? Mine definitely has a bit of play when cocked, no play or rattle when hammer down...

The thumb safety on mine is stiffer than I'm used to, but one handed(or one thumbed) still. Slide to frame fit has a little play, but I've seen sloppier fits on higher end guns. I'm so happy with mine I'm off to order another if there's any left.

I once had a very old Springfield Armory 1911 "parts gun" that I stupidly got rid of.

(That's why I'm finally getting a replacement with the Norcs!)

Its thumb safety was very difficult to move, but I never could determine why it was so stiff.

Since I never leave a 1911 in "Condition One," the point is moot.

Just happy that I'll be able to enjoy a 45 once again!

Got mine yesterday, very happy, nice even blued finish, no blemishes, I have no doubt that with a good cleaning, and a little polishing of bearing surfaces this gun will be a good shooter, can't wait to take it to the range!

Here is another issue you didn't think of......

But if it ships via canpar after 2 delivery attempts it is sent back.......

If you are leaving town maybe you should call/email canam and have them hold the shipment until you get back......
