..... I'm squirreling away $100 a pay on my amex in preparation for the next CanAm special..... it hurts less when the $$ is already there
Norinco Standard 1911 .45 ACP 7 Round Mags shows out of stock on the site.
I think he is referring to the Dlask 8 rounders which are a great deal and much better.

FAQMAT;8691333 That beeing said said:Yep, I"ll bet anyone that has ever ordered a Norinco 1911, has had any intentions of staying with the stock grips.
E-Bay has a ton of 'em, and many with free shipping.

Anyone with comments on the NORC mags?
they are poo..... 50% slide lock once empty. An inordinate amount of force to get them into the mag well and you just about need a pair of pliers to remove the mags..... The nork mags are a bit wider than any other 1911 mag I own. They are also welded, so it is impossible to change springs or followers. New followers would solve the solid lock issue. A grinder taken to the body of the mag would slim them down and a buffing wheel and polishing compound would finish up the externals of the mags nicely.....
DLask mags?
the Dlask mags are an exact match to the mec-gar mags that I have, other than they say "Dlask" as opposed to "Mec-Gar". They work, and they drop free of all of my 1911s
Been using WC and SIG mags, all work well in SIG and S&W 1911s. Def. recommend WC mags.
Personally my favourite 1911 mags are Kimber Tac-Pro mags. 8rnd and they come with 2 sizes of bump pads to suit your tastes. But at $40 a pop the $29 Mec-Gar mags from Marstar or the Dlask mags from Dlask or Canam are very good. I don't think I would pay $2.50 for nork mags.....
Providence supplies is/was selling 7 rnd 1911 mags for under $20 ea. they are colt mags, but they are just as bad as the nork offerings. Welded mag bottom. Standard 40-50s era followers and feed lips. Glitchy follower movement. Won't lock the slide back all the time and has a 50% failure rate at feeding the last cartridge out of the mag.......
I have used Wilson and chip McCormick 10rnds in the past. The chip mags worked well for a short time. Then the springs lost elasticity and started sucking. The Wilson 10rnd mags I have are like my old ford truck..... They keep working well past the time I expected to replace them.
Cheers!
I hope the backlog is lighter now. I have already been waiting 3 weeks for a tt33 from our local shop, so waiting for this wont be so bad!
Having a retail side to my business, I learned a long time ago that it "takes as long as it takes", and "it will be there when it gets there".
I hope the grips on mine are not cracked as they look like the WW2 GI style .
Once my new Norc gets Parkerized it will it will be a clone to my 1942 Colt 1911A1
