2013 Member Saskatchewan Gopher Shoot.

Havent heard what the gopher population is like there yet.....Lots in Lethbridge!!

Andrewe....FYI....Frito Lay is owned by PEPSICO....Don't order a Coke!!! HAHAA!!!

And the more chip sales means more work....LOL

Called Ernesto tonight....says hes excited for the shoot...however he also says there aren't lots of gophers....

I have friends about an hour east of swift current that claim to have oodles....

So I am hoping its just Ernies immediate area that is slim pickins....I am sure we wont have trouble finding some to kill :)

I will get out an updated attendance list in the next couple weeks and see where we are at :)

Sorry guys

I'll be there but It will be a shorter stay this time for me............too much time spent Rangering this year (75 days since Jan.) and the wife wants me home probably tent it for a couple nights instead of hayling the Trailer out there

That's too bad bclinehand. We look forward to seeing you and parking our little camper in the shade of your huge rolling palace of a camper. I was hoping to leach off your generator to run my margarita machine too. We're hoping to find a larger camper before the trip. Maybe one of the attendees could use an upgrade camper (thinking of you Kevin303). Going cheap.

Too bad about the gopher situation. But as we initially started coming to the shoot for the gopher mayhem we keep coming back for the company. Is this really the 6th year running?

Oh yeah. Might not be any in the fields within walking distance of camp....but there are lots of fields....Jonesy can show some people how to get out to Casey farms....or Bob Frymarks....or Warren Mcnarry's...lol

Ha ha... Yup. Last year we made it all the way to Yudall's, south of Piapot!! Stopped for a steak at the Rocking Horse cookhouse on the way back. Highly recommend the Ceasar there.

There sure is!! Don't be afraid to wander around. Unless you see a "No Hunting" sign, you can assume that gopher killing is welcome, or even appreciated. It still doesn't hurt to stop in at the yard to say "Hi" and introduce yourselves. We've met quite a few landowners over the years, and they usually will point you in the right direction to find a "Honey hole", tell you where cattle and yard sites are for safe shooting, who to avoid, where freshly seeded crops are, and if you're lucky, even offer you a beer!

AVOID driving on anything but a road or a trail...farmers get cranky if you accidentally drive on fresh seeded crops...or summer fallow with very expensive chemicals sprayed on it :O
