Top Shot - Black and Green Rifles. Show us what you got!

Fun day at the Magrath range, XCR-L at 100 yards and held under 1.5 Moa out to 200 yards, Scope is a Vortex Viper PST FFP 4x16x50. Slight breeze from the west-directly behind me. All rnds were loaded into 10rnd pistol mags and fired from bench with no breaks for barrel to cool. 25 rnds took maybe 2 min to fire. 50grn Barnes VG, rem brass, cci BR4 primer, 27 grns of BLC-2. Loaded on a Dillion 650 press. This combo would give me 1 Moa about 2000rnds ago...lol
Strange For Varmint grenades I know, out of all bullets tested the 50 VG's gave the best accuracy, And I tried just about everything. I Posted this on another forum a while back, 100yrd groups in order fired = 0.81", 0.937", 1.10", 1.386", 1.42"average for 100yrds= 1.13", 200yrd group in order fired = 2.102", 1.44", 1.24", 1.89",2.26" average =1.78"

I might have to put the 2.5-16 Bushnell 6500 back on the Swiss for the next outing. Should help tighten up the groups a little :)
It's in a QD PEPR so it would only take a few seconds. :D

Doing that won't make much difference;)

Just messing with you, hope you get some good groups. I will be busy again this weekend but will get out shooting sooner or later.

I think what will make more of a difference is that I bought a few different types of ammo to try. Even found 15 rounds of Black Hills 75gr match in the drawer that's left over from my SL8-4. When it came to accuracy I think that rifle was the best semi auto I've shot. If I had waited and bought a later production one after they fixed the issues with the lower receiver cracking I'd probably still have it. Having to send it away for a new lower every 200-300 rounds really put the nail in the coffin for that rifle. I sold it with a warning to the buyer and said goodbye.

I hope to make it out on Friday if it isn't raining or windy like the last time. Stormchaser is supposed to be joining me with his shiny new white XCR. Should make a lot of brass that day, not that I don't already have enough. I spent a couple hours sizing/decapping on the weekend and barely made a dent in the pail. I bought some Nosler 60gr BT and some Hornady 60gr Vmax to try. Gonna start with Varget and see how the rifles like them.

Works well anyway. I put a 7.62x39 brass deflector on, way easier to collect brass as it ejects slightly to the rear about the 4:00 position. Didn't like launching brass down range lol

Anyone in the Edmonton area have Friday afternoon off and want to come to the range? I can bring one more guest. PM me if intetested, first definite yes gets to come along. My other guest will have his XCR so there will be a nice variety of black rifles out there.
Going to Genesee and hope to make some attempts at some 100yd groups with the swiss and my AR. Also gonna burn some powder on the pistol range.

Lets see some more attempts guys :)

Edit:
Guest found for friday?.
If anyone wants to try to line up schedules for a different day pm me. I shoot during the week to avoid the ninjas at the range so work around that. I work shiftwork so my schedule is all over the place.

I am hoping to see someone put a high power scope on their SAN CQB and rest it. it should shoot sub moa with the right ammo. I no longer have any CQB's or I would gladly produce a few good targets.

Yeah. When I had a CQB i could get 1.5" 5 shot groups out of it at 100 yds with just an Eotech. Impressive little guns! Man, I miss that thing......

Lets see some shooting guys!

Been windy and rainy.
I can take a pic of my 50yd target from last Friday, did 9 targets on a single page shooting fairly quickly and made some nice groups but figured since the rules were 100yds or more I would just wait till I made it out next. Should be Wed or Thurs this week :D

Just re-posting this here to bug Dr. Lector. :D

This was his art work with a Norinco Type 97 more than 5 years ago. Each group you see is a ten shot group.
This was shot this with my Type 97 in a friendly competition a month ago.
My rifle: Benchrested, Zeiss scope.
Distance: 109 meters.
Each group is 10-shot. The squares in the grid of the paper are 1" x 1".
Shooter: Lector He used his own ammo.
