Dlask FA BCG NiB

I tried all my bits and they werent same as gas tube, will have to measure it but its already installed in the upper and I dont fee like taking it apart to measure.
my norinco bolt (only other thing I have to compare to), slides very easy over the tube and works perfectly everytime

I am also worried about the bolt failure happening in the future......

here are some pics for comparison: NiB, phosphate, and norinco

it only weights an ounce more than the norinco

the NiB carrier also has some black blemish marks but is smooth and machining seems alright

oh and the staking is weak, which might be a good thing because this gas key seems to be crap and might need replacing

Well, what I did, was a lubed up the gas key, and then I shot it, after 40 rounds it worked smoothly. However, I don't think mine was as tight as others.

Other things you could try, is measure, your gas tube and see if you could find a drill bit the same size.
Drilling out the gas key, I don't know if I like that idea, mess is up and you have a bad seal.

Another trick is to rig a piece of sandpaper as the end of a dowel. Given the size of the gas key, maybe a 17cal jag will hold a piece, spin it in there with a drill to lap it.

What I would probably do, is remove my gas tube, put one end of it in a drill, and then spin it while holding a piece of sandpaper on the end that mates with the gas key. Lap it down till it fits tight with the gas key.
Tight but not smooth. Fit it so that you still have to kind of force it, but it's loose enough you can get it on and off, then fire the rifle till it breaks in.

I'm worried that even after you fit it, something else will go wrong. Some people who have reported the BCG fitting fine, and have been using it, have suffered bolt failures.

I received a reply from Richard and am sending back my BCG. He was quick and courteous. Assuming I get my refund in a timely manner ill continue doing business with them...

To be honest I didn't ask. I'd rather be out $10 than $215. He does seem to push a replacement over a refund but so far so good.

I mean do you have to ship it there on your own or did they give you a shipping label or credit or something

I threw it in a box and shipped it on my own dime. I didn't ask about covering return shipping though so it's not to say they aren't going that route. I don't think he expected me to ship it off so quickly from the sounds of his last email about 20 mins ago.

So I sold mine on the EE for a big Loss.

Lesson learned.

The Mags they sold were rejected crap and I had to return them and lose shipping both ways. They shipped me defective product and I had to pay to shipping both ways... $&%^$&$^~~!!!!!
The BGC was crap and I lost money on the EE.

This dealer should be Banned from CGN.

Wow!! You should have at least doubled your money on the EE. :p

Ordered on April 25. Still hasn't shipped as far as I know.... Been told twice now over the span of two weeks that it would be shipping the next day. Good thing I still have a long list of parts to acquire.

While I do have a warranty claim in for the bolt and I can't say anything good about the CS.....

The 5 mags I received worked just fine.....

Why wouldn't you return the bcg and mags? They would cover your return shipping. Beats selling for a loss...

So the plot thickens.....
I ordered my NiB BCG from ICE ARMS early April. Have yet to receive anything. I was charged PST of $19.85 on my invoice with no PST number listed on the said invoice, now here's the kicker, they charged an extra $12.89 in currency exchange to my credit card, WTF????????? They produce an invoice in canadian dollars from a canadian company with GST & PST (again I repeat with no PST number on the invoice) then turn around and charge a currency exchange rate......... I firmly believe that we need to support Canadian industry as much as possible but business practices like these are dubious.

I just can't help but notice. If this had been an NEA hate thread it would have been locked long ago

That would have been NEA's fault as there shills would have been all over it......

NEA put out some dodgy products at times but imo that is where the comparison with this Dlask issue ends. One thing NEA was good at was to quickly look after their customers when they had a problem, cover shipping both ways, etc.

are we even certain they are in fact 2 different companies? seems to be the same issue, whether you want to admit it or not.
now where is my tinfoil?
