New Rugger 10-22 CLONE on the market

That rifle looks great... is anything different about the action? Bolt hold-open mechanism and so on? I like my 10/22 plenty, but the bolt controls are so clunky and the stock that comes with the rifle is so wee. Do you have any 10/22 gadgets laying around you can try dressing it up with to test compatibility?

Looking forward to your range report.

the bolt hold action is the same,..pull back bolt and push the little lever on the right side of the gun, and it holds open.It actually works well. I always had trouble with my ruger. The wood TO steel , is a perfect fit. Everything on this rifle fits so well. Yes the stock is "heafty" with a nicley formed steel but plate. The trigger has NO creep...its kinda surprising,..you just start putting a liitle pressure on, and snap ! Have nothing to dress it up with. I wouldnt take off this stock, I love it.
I am truly amazed at the "fit & finish"..its only $249 I have had FAR more expensive rifles that couldnt compare. I am impressed....such attention to detail.
Oh, and yes, everthing from a Ruger is interchangable, even the guts. Identical. The only differnce is the front and rear iron sites.

not to rain on your parade, but for this similar model of the 10/22 is roughly the same price new. Never mind the EE prices, they are their own kinda special.

I bought a stainless synthetic Ruger for $259 and found a beautiful Walnut stock on EE for $75.
It's awesome they are making a good copy, it will hopefully help quell the demand for the 10/22 so everyone can enjoy this fun little gun.
But for my money, I want the original.

I'll give RIA credit though, it looks great and they seem to have addressed the most common complaints about the Rugers not to mention undercutting the price.
I bet they will sell boat loads of these.

Congratulations on your new gun. I'd love to see some range pics.

I think anyone who holds this rifle is gonna get an instant smile, it just feels good. Solid. Well, just waiting for the rain to stop so I can get out shooting...man its comming down hard ! The road to the range is gonna be fun...not.
I will either have a really reliable accurate rifle or youll see it on the EE for $480 LOL.

To me It looks just like a 10/22 carbine except the sights.
I hope it performs the same, anyways lots of aftermarket parts for future upgrades

RANGE REPORT. Very happy. You'll have to buy one to see what i mean. I fired 200 rounds of federal back to back, then 100 rounds od CCI mini mag, then 8 rounds I found in the sand. not a single problem. Then I shot some of that cheap 555 winshester crap, 150 rounds...had 4 ftf. Had solid primmer hit just "junk ammo."I did not clean it once, and yes the barrel was hot! With federal and CCI ammo..you CANNOT get this gun to jam or miss fire!! The Extra Weight of the rifle lets you STAY on Target commpletly on rapid fire.
THE BAD- the Butler creek mag it came with was crap." The 25 round mag I bought ran %100." I will return the 10 rounder tommorrow.
The sights were high and to the right. An easy fix. I tweaked the rear site over with a pair of plyers and set the aligator adjustment down one hump.
DEAD on !! I was shooting my 1 x3 steel targets at 50 yards!! They were hardly visable. I shot an 8x4 target at 100 yards with no drop. I aimed dead on. This rifle is way more accurate than I am. I would loveto see what it can do with a Scope.

I like this rifle. Its beefy, its dam accurate, it doesnt jam. Congrats RIA you've put out a very fine rifle at a real good price.!!

sorry guys, I will be off line till tommorow night. unpluging this computer and up grading. My tech guy is here now. will answere all questions asap.

so where can i buy one in Ottawa,,,or online???,,looks like it would be a nice addition to the collection,,,

Armscor/Squires Bingham/Rock Island Armory has been making good rimfires for a while now. At least since the 50s. My dad use to own a tubular bolt action. Now with my cousin, still runs like the day he bought it. This is good news competing with Ruger on the 10/22 platform. The more competition, the merrier.
