If this rifle is even close to being a copy of a 10/22, I can see Ruger sending ARMSCOR/IRA a cease and desist or starting a law suite just like they did with the AMT Lightning 25/22

You actually think a company with a boat load of lawyers, are going to let the patent rights slide on an iconic rifle that has been there shining star AND has made their company millions (if not billions) since its inception?

yep....The Sabbati SP1882
It had a slightly different design ( 2 pc stock, different trigger internals, squared off receiver etc.) but uses a rotary box mag.

In the same way that the 1911 patents are up and the ar-15 patents are up... It's not exactly without presidence. Once the design is public domain all the lawers in the world arnt going to help you. And for the record I just bought a brand new Ruger 10/22 about two months ago. You can tell a committee is dictating the manufacturing.

I find that hard to believe. The "patented" magazine was filed in 1966 which means that ran out in 1986. The take down method was patented in '89, so that ran out four years ago. Plus volqurtzen sells a rifle of the same operation as does magnum research. There may be patents on the manufacturing techniques, but since RIA is making theirs of different materials that wouldn't apply anyway.
