Tools? That's with 1.. toolbox saw by sanvik. 2. Japanese "dozuki" (pull) saw, and 3. #40 sandpaper. And a LOT of sanding with that #40 - that orangewood is HARD.
At the end there's a Dremel. The cutout in the right panel for the magazine release, and the cutouts in the back of the bottom end for the mainspring housing pin were done with a Dremel sanding drum, and the cutout at the top of the left panel for the little pin guide-tube for the slide-stop and the safety stop pins was cut with a fibre disk cutting wheel on the Dremel.

A long time ago I got a stock engraving tool-set from Brownells - used it once to muck about with a "beater" of a 10-22 stock for practice, and getting set to use it on these...
 
My order is still in transit.....sure this is a long way from Vancouver to Shawinigan, Prov. of Quebec....been in transit from Vancouver since the 20th....flat tire? LOLLLLLLLLLLL maybe snail mail? :p Not complaining at all, simply finding it funny =)
 
That's not bad mine was forecast to be about 10 days,with the ammo it has to go by truck, so takes a bit longer. Unless P.M. Chretien took and put it in his brief case with the golf balls! It will not be long! Cheers Bob

Hopefully they hold out till tomorrow night and I will order #2! I don't give a crap if it shows up till Sept.(wife) but I have to tell canpar to hold for pickup(wife)! Don't ask why,(wife) cause most of you can already guess! Notice the subliminal message!

if that is the image they are displaying for the grip for sale...

its already cracking at the thumb area...i guess the heat from the camera lighting is breaking it down...quality right there :p

imo 13 bucks would be $13 too much
 
You need to contact Can Ammo, it is clear that the CFO did not send it properly to Canada Ammo, as they ship within 48 hrs of getting notified. Mine shipped out June 18th, it's 5 business days from Van to Ldn Ont, so sometime this week hopefully.

Depends upon how it went, as the Trans Canada highway through Canmore has been closed since Thursday due to the flooding and washouts. It will add time if the trucker made it to Golden and the highway was closed and he had to turn around. The only open detour is back to Kamloops and go north through the Yellow head.

With the Trans-Canada out, it may be a while. I've got a buddy who works for CP. They have 5 bridges out across Alberta, and miles of tracks just hanging in thin air; their embankments have washed out. It'll get there eventually I'm sure!

When you are in the shipping business .. You know how to ship .. Lots of Northern routes adding hours not days .. Shipping managers across Alberta representing many national and local haulers , will handle Calgary relief , CP emergencies , and regular business in stride .. That is what they do ..
 
Emailed transfer notification on the 17th. Status still says waiting for approval. No responses to last 2 emails. Anyone else have theirs show up without getting any updates?
 
I emailed my transfer, figured it was worth a shot, but not holding my breath. it would be awesome if it showed up randomly though......
 
I did the same, don't know if it helped or not. But CanAm DID notify me when it was shipped. Now I'm stuck with CanPar's website.

No doubt! Maybe the pigeon that was carrying mine got tired over the flooding in Alberta and crash landed and drowned. I am on my 5th full work day since it has been shipped and nothing yet from BC to ON... Hopefully, tomorrow! Order placed on May 8th. Man am I stoked to get it! Just got my vintage WWII USGI Keys grips from Sarco inc. in the US (yes they ship these to Canada) for only $14.95 before shipping!!! They should make it look a bit better than the cheap plastic ones that come with them.
