bacardi, I see you were asking about this ammo, personally I have run into problems with Norinco .223/5.56. I have had cracked cases straight from the box. I have also had a number of problems with loose primers. I had one primer come out while firing and get jammed between my BCG and upper receiver which in turn damaged my upper receiver by putting a gouge in it. I have had a few primers jam up my gun at other times but I was able to get them out and they did not cause any damage. Probably the worst was when a round blew out the back due to a loose primer. I pulled the mag out and it was full of smoke and all the rounds were blackened. The BCG was jammed, when I finally got it open the case was stuck in the bolt really badly. The back end of the case had expanded to fill every part of the bolt that it could. I did finally get it out but it took some time and a lot of effort.

I will finish using what I have but I will never buy it again. This is simply my personal experience, other individuals mileage may vary.

What was the headstamp date on the 'defective' rounds?

Ugh. Just ordered my second crate. I don't even have an AR15 yet!

X2 I ordered 2 crates a week ago. Then I ordered 5 LAR-15 10 rd pistol mags but didn't meet my $200 free shipping. SSSSOOOO!!!!! another crate!!! That's 3. My Norinco M4 should be here shortly but the B.C. CFO is taking 4 weeks to process?????

I am thinking the same thing too. Do you think these kind of ammo won't do any damages to your rifle? I am tempted too

I already fed 1600 rounds of Norinco .223 to my Norinco AR15. Had maybe 2 duds, otherwise all good. I also clean my gun almost every time I take it out but that might just be me being a bit anal retentive. The guys I'm buying my XCR from didn't have anything bad to say about shooting 26 cent bullets through a $2400 gun.

Just ordered a crate with 2 .50 cal cans and tacked on 440 rounds of 7.62 Russian in an ammo can just for good measure.

Canada Ammo why must you provide such enticing deals on a weekly basis!!!???

This will be known as the great ammo stock up of July 2013.

Yeah the thread I posted hrs earlier died really quick.

I forgot to thank you for that post, Pc9. A BIG thanks! When I went looking for the spam cans under CanAm's listing for .223 rounds, I never found them. They only came up under Norinco.

Cheers!

Your welcome
I missed out on the other deal as others did too so I was just getting the word out.

Old 90s vintage surplus Norinco will not always be around. When it runs out -- and it will -- then you'll be paying a pretty penny for new production ammo.

It used to be that 30.06 surplus could be had back in the early 90's - Not anymore
.308 was very common as surplus ammo, everywhere and cheap - Not anymore

Eventually 7.62x39 and .223 will no longer be surplus, so with that on the horizon and as others have said, "Buy it cheap and stack it deep"! You can never have enough....

Unfortunately some of us have to run a little tighter of a budget than others:( I figure better to get some than none at all!! Maybe if I sold off a couple kids...........

Another company has Chinese 9mm as well as a local gun store.
So "we bought the rest" I dunno.
That being said the price isn't extraordinary, I've shot a few boxes of it and its good stuff.

Every timethis thread gets bumped I put a case of .223 in my cart and hover over the checkout button.
I don't need it. But damn that's a good price.
