HK SL8 /G36 clone - what gives?

feedback of 100% though. Guess he's on this site to do business only. I've seen a few of those guys around.

So what can you get for 7000$ in a quality accurate firearm? Take your pick...

Before complaint the price maybe peolpe can go ahead and do some home work

As we know many HK mil spec parts is hard to get in US and extremely hard to get in Canada
There is no way to get the new real G36 mil spec barrel because HK will only sell to LE and military in us or Canada by end user Certificate
For civilan The only sources right now is from retired US LE parts kit.
and for some reason there is not many C around
I knew few real G36s UMPs and MP7s sneak into canada from movie industry but I also hear HK has sealed that loophole as well
Another problem is most US agent are moving away from G36s
(They either go 416s or buy American) so there will be no more G36s to turn in as new parts kit
the only way you can get them is from private collection
so price for C barrel are expensive . Please go hkparts.net and you will see a C barrel list at $1500 alone. And they are out of stock for a while
So even now in US market price for a C barrel are around $1700-2200
I saw a C barrel without foregrip sold within 30 minutes on hkpro for $1700
Again go online and try to find any US retailer who have them in stock
you also can try gun broker and I bet you won't find any for a while
even you can find one and the price wont be low anyway
The parts kit are dry out
So we are in Canada the extra tax and importation cost more.
those asking price isn't non realistic
and if you think why a barrel worth so much then you should ask why a Real G36 are worth more than $10000
they are just a shorter and lighter SL8
They are expensive because you can't get them. Price are set by market
And in Canada we can't cut our barrel to under 18" so this is only way to
get G36C clone done beside make custom barrel
And the factory HK cold hammer forged mil spec barrel are by far better than any custom barrel you can get
so bottom line. Is it worth it?

Some peolpe spend big money on a restored or Clone Porsche 356 or an AC Corba
which can easily buy any brand new model Benz or BMW and can go faster and get way more modern technology

Blah blah blah. My concern lies not with the price he's asking for his gun, but rather threat of negative feedback for requesting pictures but not buying the gun.

My guess is the conversion isn't perfect

If you don't like the terms, conditions or price of someone's add why does it matter so much that people need to complain about it? Just move on and look for something else, waste of time and energy ranting. Your bringing more attention to his add that may help him sell it faster anyways and the seller wins regardless.
I can think of far more rare and collectible firearms to spend 7 grand on than a Serbu 50 but to each is own I guess. Me telling you a Serbu is a waste of money is just like saying a 7000$ G36 clone isn't worth it. All based on ones perspective and interests as to what they spend there money on and how much they are willing to pay.
Yeah a threat of negative feedback for people asking pics and not buying is a bit extreme. However when you have 20 people contacting you for pics with not much intention of buying, just collecting pictures. It can be very frustrating for a seller. Not saying its right but there's several perspectives you can look at it from.

Why do you care what somebody else does? You interested in buying it? Is your life that boring for you that you feel the need to police the EE? Why are you so interested in making assumptions about the condition? You know what they say about people that make assumptions?

Mildcustom- I don't care how much he asks for his gun. For all I know it could be really sweet and I might want it. I don't really care what condition it's in or about policing the EE. I also didn't care for the skull paint you wanted to put on your AR. I also didnt care enough about it to even post in the thread. But threatening someone with negative feedback for requesting pictures and then not buying it is wrong. Negative feedback has real consequences on people's trader rating, and to receive it for simply wanting to see pictures of a product for sale is wrong.

I have a 6 million dollar house overlooking the ocean in west vancouver for sale. pool, jacuzzi, gazebo, indoor finnish sauna, tennis courts, etc. Its also been converted into a playboy mansion, with playboy bunnies included!

Whats satisfying though about this type of behaviour is that the guy is actually making sure nobody will ever contact him about the sale. So in the end, as far as i'm concern, its just another douche who, by his own actions, won't ever make a deal.

Simple solution.
Mandatory pictures for WTS/WTB adds. No using "online" pictures people steal either, must be of actual item being sold.
Gets rid of a lot of these garbage posts because people are too afraid/lazy to post.
And threats should be taken seriously by mods. Anybody posting garbage like that should get an immediate infraction.

The beauty of this is if you ain't in agreement with it and don't like it - GTFO. Even simpler isn't.
You're taking this and projecting it being another gvnt intrusion into your life ala big brother controlling everything you do. Take a breather and relax.
