I can't get .40 mags to work in my M&P9 either.
The mags fit, the 9mm rounds won't stay in the mag.
Speaking of the holster, I shoot left, can you choose a leftie holster?
Does anyone know where to get it in Dark Earth 9mm?
Check out a company called atomic dog holsters. They make all custom kydex stuff and ship to Canada for cheap. Great bunch of guys, I've dealt with them many times. I'm sure you could get a great left handed holster there.
Do NOT order the same one that came with it in left, I went to bladetec and ordered a lefty, cost me over $100 plus shipping!
Lots of issues with the M&P platform?!? I find that very... surprising.
Well I went to the store last night and the staff steered me away from the MP (they have had lots of issues).
So I looked at the cz75 xdm and glock 17.
...
Now I'm looking for the cz85 combat 9mm, the cz85 combat is the same as the 75 but ambi, anyone know where I can get it?

Glock felt like ####, didn't fit my had, felt like a toy.
The xdm was amazing but the cz75 takes the win (xdm in the future for sure)

Stay away from the CZ and XDM...
Early M&P's had some bugs - but they are pretty much all solved now, same with the Gen4 Glocks
As for how the guns feel -- all polymer guns (exception the HkP30 IMHO) feel like crap out of the box -- either stipple it with a wood burning bit, or if its a work gun that you can't f with use skateboard/grip tape.
This is the first time I have ever heard anyone say stay away from cz... what gives
I don't have a problem with the CZ platform personally, but I don't expect them to perform like other "modern service pistols". They tend to be pretty accurate, have nice ergos, and triggers can be made to be pretty sweet, but they are just not as reliable as others out there. I never had any problems with mine (when I owned them), but I made sure I gave them the maintenance schedule they demand. All machines break down eventually, but some designs are more prone to failure. It's advised, for example, for a high volume CZ shooter to carry a spare slide stop, because they are known to break somewhere around 15000 rounds. They also have relatively tight chambers (helps with accuracy, hurts with reliability), and need to be kept well-lubed and fairly clean. If you're fine with that (I'm probably missing some of the cons), then they are great pistols. If you treat your pistol like most people treat their lawn mowers, then they might not be for you. If I could afford to have a larger collection, I'd have kept one or two.
