M&P selection

Speaking of the holster, I shoot left, can you choose a leftie holster?

Does anyone know where to get it in Dark Earth 9mm?

Check out a company called atomic dog holsters. They make all custom kydex stuff and ship to Canada for cheap. Great bunch of guys, I've dealt with them many times. I'm sure you could get a great left handed holster there.

Do NOT order the same one that came with it in left, I went to bladetec and ordered a lefty, cost me over $100 plus shipping!

Wow!
I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy the range kit and just sell the holster, still get the mag holster, extra mag and uplula.

Did you see how much the dark earth one was? Its not up there anymore

Well I went to the store last night and the staff steered me away from the MP (they have had lots of issues).
So I looked at the cz75 xdm and glock 17.
Glock felt like ####, didn't fit my had, felt like a toy.
The xdm was amazing but the cz75 takes the win (xdm in the future for sure)

Now I'm looking for the cz85 combat 9mm, the cz85 combat is the same as the 75 but ambi, anyone know where I can get it?

Cuz cz75s are bombproof and the gen4g17 is perfect...

mmmmm hmmmm. Things you hear at the gunshop.

I just saw an 85 on the EE. Not a Combat, I think, but ambi. The Combat is worth waiting for, though, as it doesn't have that goofy FPB that ruins the trigger.

CZ is also a good gun, but I find it hard to believe they have had 'lots of issues with the MP. It's a very popular gun, so yes, they might see more 'problems' just by the nature of the popularity of them. But, percentage wise, there's no way it is higher than any other gun out there.

Who knows, maybe they dont make as much off smith and wesson, regardless it felt like crap in my hands (not as bad as the glock though) so it was a toss up between the cz and xdm

Stay away from the CZ and XDM...
Early M&P's had some bugs - but they are pretty much all solved now, same with the Gen4 Glocks

As for how the guns feel -- all polymer guns (exception the HkP30 IMHO) feel like crap out of the box -- either stipple it with a wood burning bit, or if its a work gun that you can't f with use skateboard/grip tape.

Just statistically they and the XDM's never do well in LE testing.

About the only Cz I would consider owning is an older CZ-75...

Springfield XD's and the XMD's are a low cost gun sprung on folks who don't do research.

Buy cheap, buy twice is often true.

This is the first time I have ever heard anyone say stay away from cz... what gives

I don't have a problem with the CZ platform personally, but I don't expect them to perform like other "modern service pistols". They tend to be pretty accurate, have nice ergos, and triggers can be made to be pretty sweet, but they are just not as reliable as others out there. I never had any problems with mine (when I owned them), but I made sure I gave them the maintenance schedule they demand. All machines break down eventually, but some designs are more prone to failure. It's advised, for example, for a high volume CZ shooter to carry a spare slide stop, because they are known to break somewhere around 15000 rounds. They also have relatively tight chambers (helps with accuracy, hurts with reliability), and need to be kept well-lubed and fairly clean. If you're fine with that (I'm probably missing some of the cons), then they are great pistols. If you treat your pistol like most people treat their lawn mowers, then they might not be for you. If I could afford to have a larger collection, I'd have kept one or two.

You can't complain (not saying YOU are) about a gun that needs part replace around 15k rounds... thats not bad
