Lets see some pics of your tactical shottys!

Tried something new this weekend:

Nice looking little shotty but that FabD AFG has to be the ugliest alien looking thing I've ever seen

It's definitely a weird one. I'm liking it better than an actual magpul AFG, but really all those uber-grips are more for funs-sake than a real "upgrade" per se

Not everyone bothers to use the ptk grip ;)

Why did you take the LPA Rear sight Off?
I would keep them for BUIS
or is it too cluttered with the microdot and the LPA rear?

We were swapping red dots back and forth before taking the shotgun out, and the LPA rear sight had to come off to fit the Cmore on there.

I keep meaning to put it back on, because you're right! It would make a damn good set of buis.

Ya know just incase that EMP burns out your $500 red dot (MSRP $800)

I posted pics of my shotty before, no changes since then, but I got a new lens for my camera so I took her out to take a few test shots. I still can't seem to nail a really awesome photo yet, but I guess I'll keep playing around.

Nice collection of shotties you guys have, some really cool toys make mine look pretty plain-jane. Nothing special about my 870 except some Magpul furniture...no rails, no sights, no red dot...on my wish list, but no money, haha!

You have great taste. Hehehe

Here's my Marilyn spread. In all her glory after a little plastic surgery. :p

I'm thinking about building the exact same build as you but with a rifle sight barrel. Do you think the rifles sigts on a reminton barrel would cowitness with a trs-25 on a pic rail on an 870 receiver?

I unfortunately dont think so. Its works with a bead or elevated bead sight just enough. Rifle sight type might be a little too high. Depends what type of sight you mean. Got a link or pics? I could judge better and let you know.

Yeah, I was about to say, yours looks strangely familiar. How do you like your flashlight mounted on the forend? I had one there for a while, but it was sort of in the way. The rail was almost gouging into my hand whenever I took a shot.

Grabbing one of these this afternoon:

It's not bad. I have small hands though. Glove size medium... I also put it all the way in front which helps. I find it's pretty comfortable but haven't used in a night environment yet though.

What is that thing exactly? Where does it mount?

I was also thinking of getting this:

http://sjhardware.com/store/modules.php?name=catalog&file=product_info&cPath=107_175&products_id=335

or this

http://sjhardware.com/store/modules.php?name=catalog&file=product_info&cPath=107_175&products_id=336

not quite sure I want to invest almost 100$ for a light mount right now though. Especially since the light mounted on the forend seems ok for now.

This is an 870 MCS but it it has the basic setup I'm looking looking for with the rifle sights on the barrel and the picitinny rail on the receiver. The basic idea is that when you mount a red dot on the rail then you can look through the optic and see the rifle sights in the lower third of the field of view. This provides a back up sighting option.

Also are you using this mount?

My plan is to drill and tap my receiver for a picitinny rail.

Hey buddy!
I think those sights will be to high for the Mesa siderail saddle. Thats the one I use and with elevated bead sight (which I changed for fiber optic one), its real tight.
I think your best option cowitness would be to drill and tap a rail on the top of the receiver (like the first pic) and use a riser with a red dot. For the side saddle, use one without the top rail...thats my advice, maybe someone else can chime in?

Some guy on AR-15.com did this:

Haley Strategic Products Drop wing light mount by impact weapon components.

That way you can turn the light on and off while your pumping.

Thanks for the help! I was thinking about getting a velcro side saddle anyways.

It's just a mount that bolts to the mag tube. $30 from amazon. The SJ Hardware one looks like a good solid mount....$70 tho....

Damn, that shotty from AR15.com is purdy.
