Fair enough, I would say no. I have a hunting rifle that is chambered in the aforementioned calibre, and have had no issue. Nor have I heard of such issues. If there were an issue, which could be applied to any and all primers, it could be attributed to something as simple as a bad lot of primers.
The issue is that when it gets colder you need more oomph to light up your powder properly. Same as needing a magnum primer when you use more powder. It has nothing to do with a bad lot of primers. I'm glad to hear you experienced no problems. What powder and primer did you use in -30 and what, if any change, did you experience in fps, es/sd and accuracy?
Thanks
