The 6.5 Creedmoor, the 260 done right....

Fair enough, I would say no. I have a hunting rifle that is chambered in the aforementioned calibre, and have had no issue. Nor have I heard of such issues. If there were an issue, which could be applied to any and all primers, it could be attributed to something as simple as a bad lot of primers.

The issue is that when it gets colder you need more oomph to light up your powder properly. Same as needing a magnum primer when you use more powder. It has nothing to do with a bad lot of primers. I'm glad to hear you experienced no problems. What powder and primer did you use in -30 and what, if any change, did you experience in fps, es/sd and accuracy?

Thanks

That is true just went on the Nosler site and they are offering brass and ammo, that is a great news as i think the Nosler cases are among the best, all my reload for my Nemesis are with Nosler brass, will contact one of my good dealer and i am sure he will be able to order me a case (200 rounds) of their Accubond ammo in 6.5 Creedmoor plus an extra 200 pieces of brass for assuring perenity of the caliber...
That sure is one good thing settle... JP.

Mister postman did bring the 2 scopes i ordered for my custom, my main one will be a Sightron 8X32X56 LRMOA and the backup one is a Tactical Bushnell 10X40 Mildot... JP.

65$ for 50 pieces! Not to mention gst and shipping. Makes my 260 lapua brass seem like federal grade!

I dont mind paying more for Nosler ammo and brass, those are among the best on the market as i dont mind paying for Scenars ogives, this is all more than candy... JP.

Nosler bullets leave a lot to be desired when long range shooting. Your far better off just buying brass and loading rather then putting 200 rounds down the barrel for nothing.

Also I don’t think you are using the word ogive properly.

Not to derail this thread, but I have been using 140 grain Nosler Custom Comps in two of my 260's with good success. I weight sort and measure bullets and sort accordingly. I don't mind the extra work considering they only cost 27 cents a piece. Maybe not the best BC on the market but they ring steel at 1000m just fine! The BC on the Berger 140 VLD and SMK142 do get you another 100 m or so before entering leaving transonic flight.

In french the definition is different, the ogive is the part that leave the barrel, sorry for the mix up... JP.

Did a little shopping fot the Creedmoor, got a Harris Swivel bipod 9-13, one pound of h-414, 100 Sierra spitzer 120 gr and one extra set of Dies RCBS for my rifle... Got about 50 cases shot in my Precision Hunter and got that recipe for H-414 & 120 gr Sierra spitzer, will prep and reload with a generic load for testing... JP.
