I think for factory bolt rifles, the CZ 527 is the way to go. I have owned the CZ, Ruger 77, and Zastava, and I thought the CZ was the nicest built, nicest handling, and had the most features. The Ruger was decent, but I didn't like the fact it was built on a longer action. The Zastava was rough - it functioned well enough, but was crude.
The CZ though had the best trigger by far (and a set option as well), good sights, carried and handled the nicest, had fit and finish as good good as the Ruger, and was built on an appropriate sized action. Mine would shoot slightly over an inch with cheap ammo, and a 2.5x Leupold. What I didn't like is that you had to mount an optic ridiculously high to clear the bolt, and it occasionally struggled with the hard primer cups on cheap ammo. Even with that, I probably would buy one again if they offered it in stainless, and with a lightweight synthetic stock.
If I really wanted to do it up right, I would build one up on a stainless Sako 75 action previously chambered for a PPC round, in a Macmillan Edge stock.
I really don't understand my attraction to bolt guns in this cartridge though - I spend way too much time and money setting them up, and thinking how handy they will be. When the time comes to hunt though, I imagine sitting in a blind when some monster 200+ B&C white tail steps out - at 300 yards.
So, I take a real rifle instead.
