Homemade :)
Chinese plastic with aluminum bars inside stock.
$18-00, not including labor :)

Crappy pic but it says 2lb 8 oz

My m305 plastic chop mod CQB stock weighs 1 lbs 11 oz , no grip, no buttstock
Will put the gear back on her tomorrow and weigh again with pics ;)
I just had her stripped down for a new paint job in preps for upcomin deer season

where is that tutorial on how to make your own!

I sliced a tendon in my index finger 5 weeks ago and will continue that thread in a few weeks when I get the splint off.
Right now, I'm mostly left handed and it's not really working for me hehehe

here's a teaser though
this is what I call an m14s-cqb chop mod , which is essentially a "home made" AR grip and buttstock compatable Chinese plastic stock
the same mod could be done with a springfield armory inc plastic stock and with a bit different process, with a usgi fiberglass stock
the one pictured uses a Stormwerkz AR180B type ONE , stock adapter (50.00)
without the grip and buttstock, it weighs as pictured, 1 lbs 11 ounces , an ounce shy of 1.75 lbs

I'll finish that other thread in a few weeks so you guys can make the lightest stock there is for the m14 too hehehehe

I have a sage EBR it in nice to handle out of a truck ore hanging on my Rokon but I don't like packing it in the bush way to heavy for the bush I hunt in. I got a custom carbon tactical hunter stock from Tom 45ACPking. ( m14 Doctor) on its way and think I mite switch out rifle stocks

you might be in luck if they haven't sold out yet...... and 495.00 is a hard price to pass up for the vltor stock. i've seen them as high as 750 retail here in canada.

Wouldn't have guessed the boyds weighed a full pound more than the USGI glass, thanks for that list M14.ca.
I am very surprised at this to, since I have Norinco shorty 305's in Boyds stocks and one in a USGI fiberglass stock. They all have USGI butt plates and the weights are as follows: 8.851lbs (Boyds) - 8.807lbs (Boyds) - 9.021lbs (USGI Fiberglass)

I re-took this photo at 6;14pm 08.15.2013 on the DYMO S100 digital scale with the sling off to make sure it did not add ounces to the weight in my previous photo. The weight was confirmed at exactly 4.0lbs (1.8kg).

It would be nice if some of you started pretending like we're Canadian and use a proper measuring system, commonly known as metric.

the VLTOR looks mean, but i dont know what i want yet, so far the black feather is winning this battle even though it is a bit expensive. still on the prowl lol. now if anyone is selling a m305 shorty let me know and then i will prob get the blackfeather!

You'll like the blackfeather and at least they are availlable pretty much any time. The other chassis/stocks like sage/vltor/troy are always in limitted supply.
Speaking of troy mcs, I see CTCS has or had some in stock
