Mourning Doves
Picked up a copy of the migratory bird regs. today and, as promised, we have a mourning dove season in Ontario. I wonder how long it will take them to wise up to the fact that they aren't "songbirds" anymore
BUT and it's a big but, you are supposed to use non-toxic shot only
Now when I look at a dove, I'm thinking target load and 71/2 or 8 shot size. What is the smallest nontoxic shot you can buy? I know a lot of people will ignore this and use lead as is the case with grouse hunters taking an occassional woodcock with their grouse load. Knowing my luck, that would be just the time the CO's would show up
