BEAUTIFUL SKS's !!

Not to much into tactical SKSes, but I do like this rifle. Apparently the stock is handmade form a few pieces of laminated wood. Impressive

This one is my all time favorite builds. The 1MOA target SKS. Clean and purposeful with no detail over looked.

It looks the part

And heres my latest build, I cut the sight protector down as the top of it was in my FOV with the rear peep and it was hard to get a consistent sight picture.

The only thing it needs now is a sling and some quality time with my stash of ammo.

Call me crazy. but the SKS is a gun that should stay dressed in it's wood furniture IMHO.

I have one in a black Tapco stock, but would keep my purdy original Russian models over it anyday.

This thread reminds of me of a done-up Honda Civic with a big spoiler, loud can, body kit etc ;p

That's because you an old fashioned Fudd who knows nothing about the current fashions.

Much like myself LOL

I do agree to a point, i love my 52 Tula and ill keep it stock because its beautiful the way it is but for another 200 bucks ill grab a 54 and use the timbersmith stock have some fun learning a bit about finishing it and learn more about the firearm as i go thru the process sounds like a lot of fun to me and with the amount of them out there why not have some variety instead of owning 4 sks rifles that look the same and shoot the same.......roughly

Now, I really like this SKS. Good work as always. It is something aspiring gunsmiths as myself can look up to. I might have to copy it...;)

Only thing I would have done differently is an internal trigger stop.

You mean for an over travel stop? I looked around but couldn't think up a good idea for anything internal. If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them as keeping it internal would look so much cleaner. Thanks for the compliments, its my favourite SKS Ive owned so far!
