with 50 year old paper cased, corroded ammunition? The gun was totally dry, no lubrication of any sort in it as well. How is that a torture test? I call that a normal outing at the range or bush
This gun is an uber POS...
This gun is an uber POS...
Thanks for your well informed opinion
What is the basis for your position on the newest version. When did you handle and shoot one??
I've seen many many many reviews on this gun. You guess what the results were. No need to shoot it when you see it breaks (usually polymer around the feeding port breaking) in few review videos/pictures.
Even someone like FPS Russia on youtube was trying to have some fun with the gun, not even reviewing it, and he went through 3 of these before being able to shoot the toilet. He was doing a gun vs toilet thing and wasnt too sure which one would resist the test.... The third one he had was able to function for a brief moment. So the toilet lost.
Edit: Ah, i see the key word here: Newest version. Tell us more about the newest version. What is new exactly ? Besides the marketing ?
This video is a follow up to http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...-at-the-UTS-15-shotgun-featuring-a-video-demo!
Is your opinion based on what you have read and seen previously or on your own personal experience? Maybe you would like to do a personal review on this shotgun, care to visit? we will provide all the ammo you can shoot!
My opinion is based on the older one which is, as i said, an uber POS.
Now, my question remains.
What exactly is new vs the older one ? Parts ? Springs ? Polymers ?
Not necessarily interested in ragging on the gun, but...if you put the original version out there for sale, and every single person that comes in contact with it is unimpressed, that speaks to the integrity of the manufacturer who chooses to put a POS out there for the masses to beta test at their expense.
It essentially becomes a 'fool me once' situation.
Redemption is an earned thing. Not everyone is going to line up like sheep for V2.
Just my 0.02
The purpose of our videos was not to have everyone line up like sheep and hand out their money, but to show that the issues that the UTS-15 had in Canada, had been addressed and improved upon, in a very timely matter by the manufacturer. I am the first one to admit these shotguns won't be for everyone, but at least we have shown that the problems have been fixed and given an honest, straight forward review and test of the newer shotguns. It would have been quite easy to edit out some of the jams caused by the old paper cased ammo to make it look like these guns functioned completely flawlessly, but we didn't as we wanted to show the truth, and I highly doubt any other shotgun out there, my old beloved Winchester defender included would have performed any better with any less errors than what the new UTS-15 did.

I did notice quite a few jams and FTF in the video. Did you guys try it out and/or make a video with different kinds of ammo? I am curious how it would handle the cheaper trap rounds for playing around camping. Looks like a fun gun. But im not sold for that price.
